[Yokozawa Onsen Shizuhoso]A small hot spring inn built in the mountains of the majestic Kitakami Mountains. The surrounding area is surrounded by rich nature and is recommended as a base for mountain stream fishing, mountain climbing, and trekking. It is the only natural hot spring in Miyako City that contains fluoride, which is said to be effective for lower back pain and joint pain, and day trip bathers are welcome. The woman at the reception was very kind and warm.It was nice to be able to enjoy the hot springs quietly since there weren't many people.Recommended level: ★★☆☆☆2021.11.03

It was crowded, so we stayed in a small banquet hall, but it was clean and comfortable. However, my room faced the dining area, and I was surprised to see the names of the guests posted on A4 paper. The dining area is small so social distancing is not possible. However, the food was delicious and the water was good, so I would like to visit during the off-season next time.

It's located on National Route 106 from Miyako and up a side street near Kawai Village. It was just a 10 minute drive from the national highway. The road itself is paved and not wide, but overall it is easy to ride. Therefore, it felt relatively easy to access. There are several parking spaces in front of the facility. There are other places around where you can park your car.The fee was 520 yen. Shampoos are provided. There are about 4-5 bathtubs and washing areas. When I visited, it was mid-morning on a weekday, so there were no other customers. The water in the bathtub is clear and colorless and comes from boiling mineral springs. Therefore, I felt a refreshing bathing sensation. The temperature was around 41 to 42 degrees. The surrounding area was very quiet.
