No shampoo and no hair dryer for 450 yen! The bath was hot, but it was refreshing. I think some people sweat in the changing room because the bath is hot. The rest area was cool. On the way back, we had some hot spring water in the parking lot! You can drink it or add it to your bath at home and it seems to be effective! ︎

Otani Onsen is located about 17 km west of National Route 45 in Hirono Town, Iwate Prefecture. There was a small electronic bulletin board along the way, but I missed it.From there, go about 2.5km, turn left at the intersection where there is a vending machine, and walk about 1km to reach Otani Onsen. It feels like a hot spring in the winter, but even though the temperature was high, the hot water was just right. There is no shampoo, body soap, etc., so you basically have to bring your own.I used to have pain in my shoulders and lower back, but it has helped tremendously.Local people seem to be the main users.I got rid of my fatigue.I want to use it again.*Additional note: I visited again. The temperature of the bath today was a little hot. But again, it was good. I got rid of my fatigue.

It's in a secluded area, so don't worry about it until you reach the signboard. The water is hot. There's also an electric bath. I didn't use the sauna. The price will increase from 400 yen to 450 yen.

It is a highly effective hot spring with one of the highest concentrations of radon in Tohoku. I think the effect is certain, as the customer base is mainly locals. …

If you want to see public baths from the Showa era, it's 400 yen, no shampoo etc.You sweat a lot, which is great for your metabolism, and the hot water is good.

The cost performance is very good!Room without meals: 3,500 yen per person (tax included)Even if one room is used by one person or two people, the price remains the same...! !I stayed in the new building.Because of the location, there are a lot of insects lolThe important room is overall good, butSince it's summer, I thought it would be nice if they provided towels and blankets.Room wear (yukata), towels, and toothbrushes are self-service and each guest must bring their own.Shampoo etc. are provided to guests.Perfect for people who just want to sleep! !good point・[Inn New Building] Smoking is allowed indoors, which is nice for smokers・[Inn New Building] Especially good value for moneyBad points・[Inn New Building] Maybe you should clean it a little better. Especially the wash basin.・[Inn New Building] Sound issue. Even the footsteps from upstairs and the sound of curtains being opened can be heard in the room downstairs.・[Hot spring] The shower flow was so slow that I didn't feel like I had washed my clothes.・[Hot spring] The hair dryer doesn't have enough airflow, so it takes a long time. Also, since there are only two machines, the turnover rate is low.

I was concerned about the high radon levels, so I stopped by today for a day trip. Excuse me, but this is not the kind of facility I go to in search of modern beauty and hospitality, but on the contrary, I thought this kind of facility would be nice. I think they are trying to keep it clean considering it is old. It really feels like a traditional public bath with a lot of elderly people. The hot springs are colorless and transparent, but when I got there and calmed down, I felt that my body definitely felt lighter, although it may be due to the radon taking effect or it may just be my imagination. That's why I gave it 5 stars as a hot spring. This is a hot spring that you should definitely try and I will definitely go there again.

There are many elderly locals, so it is somewhat difficult for outsiders to go there. But when my shoulders or lower back hurt, I try my best to take a bath. Because it will heal faster.

A small retro rest room and a ticket vending machine for bathing. Coin lockers available, free Wi-Fi, better to bring your own bathing set.I was surprised that there was an electric bath and many washing areas. Shower 🚿 lever. Red water, blue water.
