The food is average, and the service is a bit worse than other hot spring hotels. There is no initiative to pick up people at Suantang Hot Spring and no email confirmation... Maybe it's because there are only a few hotels here so there is no competition? If you want to stay, it is best to choose Suantang Hot Spring Hotel, the transportation is more convenient~

The hot springs, food, and service all had the image of a luxury brand, which was in stark contrast to the commoner feel of the nearby Sukayu Onsen. The room was also clean.A lot of people stayed there, and they all served French food at the same time. You may not be able to enjoy a meal while enjoying conversation about the food and the local area with the person serving you.

Three girls and I enjoyed a two-night stay in Hakkoda in autumn. As always, we had a wonderful time thanks to the hospitable staff. All three of us liked the photo that the staff member, Mr. Yokoyama, took for us on the way home. This time, the Japanese restaurant Kansui, which used to be near the bath in the basement, was renovated and moved to the first floor where you can see the beech forest, so I had Japanese food for the second night for the first time, but not only French food, but also this meal. It was a series of wonderful dishes using local ingredients.Seats are limited compared to French restaurants, so it's inevitable that it will become popular in the future.Hakkoda Hotel is one of my favorite hotels that will make you want to go back soon.

I visited at the end of April. There was still snow around the hotel, and I was surprised at how deep the snow was in Hakkoda. It has an overwhelming appearance from the entrance, and when you step inside, you can feel the cool silence, relaxed atmosphere, and profoundness, but the staff are extremely hospitable. The hallways and rooms look a little old, but the lobby, main dining room, and bar have a very old feel to them, and you'll be impressed by their appearance. The hot spring also made my skin smooth. I was only able to stay for one night, but I ended up going in three times before checking out.At night, the atmosphere of the bar was great, and I was seated near the fireplace. As I was so impressed by the fireplace, I was asked to put it on and enjoy a meal while listening to the quiet sound of crackling wood. Alcohol is the ultimate luxury. The French dinner was also very good, using plenty of local ingredients and was very delicious. Also, the staff's hospitality was just right. On the way home, my companion had to leave first by himself, so we decided to use the hotel's shuttle bus, but I was wondering how we would spend the hour since check-out time. By the way, the bar wasn't open, but he let me in and also came to let me know that the bus had arrived.I was very impressed by the wonderful and considerate hospitality.I would like to visit you in winter next time.
