Thank you for staying with us for 2 nights. I regularly have the opportunity to use hotels such as the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo and Osaka, and each hotel has its own qualities. Today's inn is, well, a nostalgic inn that reminds me of a training camp or my grandmother's house, and it makes me feel like I'm going back to my roots. I once again appreciate the quality of Japanese futons, and I feel that although the facility is old, it has been carefully maintained. I was told that a restaurant nearby called Yorimichi was also recommended, and it was really delicious. Which place do you recommend? I asked him casually, and the owner gave me the impression of a dormitory mother. The bath is not a large public bath, so it is a space where you can enjoy bathing alone. I was staying in Oita for 3 days and had important presentations on the first and last days, but I was able to do a good job by locking myself in my room during the middle of the day. Personally, I really liked it, and like at a training camp, I was able to reflect on the day and reflect, and it was truly a return to my roots. Thank you Urashima-san! !

I enter, take off my shoes, and walk up the steep stairs to my room. If you have heavy luggage, it can be difficult to carry it up and down the stairs. Not suitable for people with walking problems. On Saturday and Sunday, there were 2-3 male customers who were visiting the sex shop, and they were talking loudly about the sex shop they went to that day, and it was so loud that you could hear them until midnight. The men weren't making any noise, and their voices were at a normal volume... If you are going with a group of people, I think everyone can hear you unless you speak in a whisper.Other than that, there were a lot of solo travelers so it was quiet. There was an ashtray in front of my room, and several of the male guests were smoking, so smoke came into the room through the gap under the door, and I wanted to smoke all the time. I put my suitcase in front of the door and blocked it.Because there was a sofa and an ashtray, I was able to relax there for a long time, so when I opened the door, there were men there. I couldn't even go to the toilet.I was relieved that he was gone on Monday...Baths are reserved for private use.It was nice that the toilets were separate for men and women. The toilet is large and clean. There is also a deodorizing spray. The man at the inn is kind and helpful, so please try talking to him.I feel like she's clumsy, so I guess she's the type who can't put on a sales smile or be friendly. Those who are not used to the seemingly unfriendly atmosphere may be surprised, but... She told me, ``If you want to buy food and drinks, there's a supermarket across the street.'' On my way out in the morning, I said, ``I'm going to go on a tour of hell.'' She said, ``Come on, be careful.'' On the bus. I have fond memories of him asking me, ``Are you going? Can I keep your key?''I stayed for several nights, but they asked me if I wanted to clean the room while I was out (I declined because I didn't want to leave a mess). When I got home, I found a new towel and toothbrush in a bag (for some reason it was a bag with a cabbage label on it lol) and hung it on the doorknob. I think it's a good idea that they give you a new toothbrush even if you stay for several nights.I was really stressed out by the stories I heard about adult entertainment in the middle of the night, the ashtrays in strange places, and the male customers relaxing there.☆-2.It's within walking distance from the station, there's a supermarket, and it's reasonably priced, so it's a great place to stay as long as you don't have to deal with noisy customers or smokers.(Review of visit in October 2019)

2023.10.08 (Sunday) I tried the Yukuhashi-Beppu 100km walk for the first time, and stayed overnight on the day I completed it for the first time.I chose this place because of the proximity to the station, the price, and the Japanese-style room! I was able to lie sprawled out on tatami for the first time in a while, so I was very satisfied! It feels like a Showa-era inn, so you can hear people talking in the next room (@_@;), but it's also recommended for people who want to drink outside and just sleep at the inn!

There were many things that bothered me, such as the air conditioner that didn't work, the host who was extremely rude, and the walls so thin that you could hear conversations in other rooms. However, it's cheap, so it's good for people who don't want to spend too much on accommodation.
