We were scammed, threatened and forced to leave early and then fraudulently charged additional fees!We would strongly suggest picking somewhere else as the location is terrible and the property manager is a scamming women who threatened us and tried to extort money from us based on a scam she had with an unconnected business from the property. When you are in a foreign country like Indonesia any threat from a property manager calling the police on a lie is very intimidating. Having a third party whose services the manager pushed lie and make false acusations to a senior citizen couple was a fear we could not have imagined in a million years! We were told we had to leave 3 days early with no refund. The owner we were told hardly ever comes to the property and this manager has a financial angle not only what restaurants she recommends but selling liquor and wine to you! As we tried to stop using this third party they threatened us, and tried to have us pay them money not to go to the police. This was a tactic of intimidation as the police wete never involved but fortunately we had limited local money and we were not about to be party to a fraudelent scam! We dont know if the owner is even aware because thinking we spent the week he had additional charges when we psid up 100% before we left and to this day VRBO has not refunded either the 3nights or the additional charges. We have been in contact now that we left with the local police and an attorney in Bali. This experience really ruined our 40th wedding anniversary trip! In addition, the main part of the house has no AC!

If you do not want your vacation to be spoiled, I advise you to never visit Damai Villa. Do you wonder why?Turning the time you expect to spend in fun and good mood into some kind of horror is very easy.First about the villa itself and the territory. The villa probably long time ago was beautiful, but already old. Poor insulation. Very bad connection through wifi and mobile data, villa located far from the city. The area is quite good and well maintained. The pool is large, just in the water there are some underwater small bugs that bite. Exit to the beach is right behind the gate, yes, but it’s impossible to swim in the sea, the bottom is covered with sharp stones, the waves are constantly and the water is not clear. Floats full of plastic waste.There are a lot of flies in the afternoon and mosquitoes in the evening, from which even creams or sprays do not helps.The second thing that really spoiled the vacation was the negative energy of the whole villa, which comes from its owner - we met him upon arrival at the villa. This is an angry and aggressive person, as I noticed absolutely not knowing how to behave calmly.I’ll also add an interesting fact: a month after we left this villa, the owner sent us messages that we should compensate him for the broken things, although upon our departure he personally checked everything and gave the rest of the deposit we had. In the photo of the breakdowns that he sent me, there were a few trifles and the fan over the grill was broken, and so ... I didn’t argue for trifles, maybe we didn’t notice, for example, a stain on a napkin on the table)) but we definitely did not break the fan. I asked him to be honest and not ascribe this to us and also send me a list with the prices of repair / replacement of things but he stopped responding. For everything, he demanded 600 euros, threatening to report us to the police. Horrible.But I believe that karma will give him credit)

The most beautiful villa we have visited so far.Direct access to the sea with black sand. The staff is very friendly and will take care of everything you want. A rental car is recommended as the villa is somewhat remote. But there is absolute peace.

Fantastic! Paradise has been found! The pictures are just a small foretaste of what awaits you in person!!! Great service, super organized! Vacation from start to finish! And no one wants an end here right now!!!! Eight thumbs up!!!!!
