Used as an accommodation for touring to Beppu on weekdays in late September 2024.This is the second time I've used it.The main reasons for using this are as follows.1. It faces a major street, so don't get lost. 2. You can park your motorcycle under the eaves and it won't get wet from rain or night dew.3. The hot springs are good.4. Reasonable priceThe hotel is a 7-story, 48-room steel building, but the building is quite old. However, the accommodation costs are also cheap, so I have no complaints about it being old. Even though it's old, there are some good things about it. It used to be a fine tourist hotel, so the hallways are wide, there's another shoji door on the inside of the door, and although it's a Japanese-style room, it also has a 2-tatami mat balcony. If you are on a high floor, the view is good. From the road side, you can see Beppu Bay, and from the back side, you can enjoy the steamy atmosphere of Kannawa Onsen.Fully equipped with bath/toilet, TV, hair dryer, and refrigerator. When I entered the room, the air conditioner was running properly to keep the room cool, and the pot of water was already boiling. The refrigerator is also cold. (In cheap business hotels, the pots are often empty and the refrigerators are often turned off.)What's more, you can check in from 3:00 pm and enjoy the free-flowing hot springs and sauna (it's small, but you can also use it in the morning). It's conveniently located along National Route 500 and just a short road from Beppu IC (and there's a large parking lot), but unfortunately the road in front of the hotel is congested in the morning and evening. It becomes difficult to enter and exit in the opposite direction during commuting time. If you are traveling by car or motorcycle, I think it would be better to check in outside of peak traffic periods.Even if you stay alone, the price is not too expensive. On weekdays, you can stay for 4,980 yen (without meals) and also enjoy the hot springs at Kurodaya next door. There weren't many guests staying that day, so the hot springs were reserved for only the two of us.Kurodaya next door is also empty when you enter early and during dinner time from 6pm to 7pm. (The spring quality is different, so if you're a hot spring enthusiast, you should definitely visit both).Since you can enjoy plenty of hot springs at this price, you should ignore the slight drawbacks. If you want to complain about things, stay at a more expensive hotel.

There were some reviews that weren't very good, but there are no problems with using it. It's an old-fashioned hotel, so some places are dirty, but the toilets are well-cleaned with washlets.I ordered breakfast included, but I was disappointed that there weren't many side dishes, but you can get a second helping of curry. The large public bath is also full of hot spring water typical of a hot spring area. There is no problem at all if you stay at an old hotel knowing that it is an old hotel.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused to you as we were traveling with children, but you were very kind and accommodating. The hot springs were cloudy and had a nice atmosphere.

Used for day trip hot springs. Weekdays 500 yen. 700 yen on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. [Reception hours] 11:30-15:00. There aren't many people who use it for day trips, so it's quite a hidden gem. A piping hot hot spring typical of Kannawa. There is a sauna and a cold bath. The building is in a dilapidated condition and is quite old, but the hot springs are wonderful.
