Ryokan Tenryu1137 Yuyama, Amasemachi, Hita City, Oita PrefectureStop by to take a bath 700 yenThis Amagase Onsen is said to have boiled up from the riverbed over 1,300 years ago during the reign of Emperor Tenmu😊The colorless and transparent water is a weakly alkaline simple hot spring and felt very pleasant✨I usually take hot springs along the river, but sometimes I go to the inns. The hot water was also really good 😄Please come and try it😊

Highly rated overall. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The atmosphere and location are great. (The river was under construction at the time of my visit, but I hope it will be fully restored.)There are two private baths located outdoors. The quality of the hot springs is orthodox, and the source is hot but at an appropriate temperature. One of the good inns. The food is also delicious.

Visited during Golden Week in 2024. It's a very new inn, having been rebuilt after water damage. Perhaps because of that, there wasn't much information about the place, so I was nervous about what it would be like, but in the end it turned out to be a very nice place to stay.Anyway, the customer service was excellent, and I was taken care of from the time of reservation to the time of my stay. The rooms and bathrooms are new and easy to use. There are lots of books in the lobby! It might be nice to drink coffee and read while looking out at the river. The food had a lot of variety and was delicious, but the seasoning was strong. I guess it's for young people, lolThe soba noodles were exquisite!Overall, it was very comfortable and we were able to enjoy a three-generation trip!

This is a great little Ryokan Inn in the Amagase Onsen spa area. It has rooms with private Onsen baths and ones without. There are public baths (men and women) and one "family" bath for couples and families. All three baths have limited outside views, but they are super clean and comfortable. The parking entrance is narrow, so be careful if you drive. You can see the river looking out from the window. There's a lovely small cafe on the 1st floor. The service is excellent. The rooms are also super clean and comfortable. You eat dinner at the restaurant, and the dinner was gorgeous.

I stopped by and used the bath. My hometown is also a tourist destination that sells hot springs, but I love the hot springs at Amagase Onsen better than the local hot springs, and personally, I think it's the best in Japan, even more so than the famous hot springs. This is my 4th or 5th time coming to Amagase, and the time I spent soaking in the bath surrounded by the smell of sulfur was a blissful moment of happiness. I know that the local people who are recovering from the coronavirus and the flood disaster are having a hard time every day, but I hope that the day will come when Amagase will return to its former charm, and I would like to come back to Amagase again. I did.

I stopped by to use the hot springs, and the service was very good and I was able to use them comfortably. It seems that it was opened in August 2023 after renovations from flood damage, and the facility is very clean.Although the water was hot, it had a smooth quality that was great for beautiful skin. It's conveniently located within walking distance from the station, so this is a place I'd like to stay at next time.
