If you are looking for a private ryokan, this is it. In particular, the evening kaiseki is as good as 3 Michelin stars. Highly recommended!!

A hotel that is very inflexible. If you want to change anything off their plan, it's just not possible.There was no information about breakfast time in advance (not even on their website). When we arrived, they told us it would be 8:30 o'clock, but we had to check out early to get our flight the second day. So we asked to have breakfast at 7 o'clock. That just wasn't possible for them and they didn't gave us a payback or any alternative. Very disappointing.On the other hand, they changed dinner time the second day by themselves and informed us in the morning about that.They try to look like a high class hotel, but fail in all the details.

We stayed one night at Nagomitsuki and it was an amazing experience. The private in room onsen was relaxing and the breakfast and dinner meals were delicious. There was also a refreshment corner where guests could get a variety of teas and bags of ice. As we did not speak Japanese, the workers did everything to communicate with us in English. We really appreciated the service they provided us and wish everyone can experience this amazing ryokan 😊

I think the rating of 4 is a bit too low.The service inside definitely exceeds this rating.Overall service is super great 👍From the moment you enter to the moment you leave, the staff will assist you with your luggage.Introduction from dinner to breakfastBut I still recommend hot water for bathing.Allow guests to switch on and off independently

**Outstanding Ryokan Experience in Beppu**My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Beppu Nagomitsuki for three nights, and it was truly a fantastic experience. The hospitality was exceptional from start to finish, with the staff going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The facility itself is impeccably clean and maintains a very traditional Ryokan atmosphere, which we loved.One of the highlights was upgrading to the dinner option—both the quality and the amount of food exceeded our expectations. The meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our room was peaceful and quiet, allowing us to relax fully. We also appreciated the onsen in our room, where we could easily adjust the water temperature to our liking.Overall, Beppu Nagomitsuki is a gem of a place, and we hope to have the opportunity to return someday. If you're visiting Beppu, we highly recommend staying here for an authentic and unforgettable experience.
