It was a sad experience.I came all the way from Hokkaido and had a sad experience, so I would like to write about it.We stayed as a couple. I paid a not-so-cheap accommodation fee of over 50,000 yen per person, so I was nervous about what kind of hot springs it would be like. When I was led to the room,Since we are deep in the mountains, insects may come into our rooms, but we were told that insecticides were available and that we should use them, which gave me a bad feeling. (My wife and I are both extremely afraid of insects.)The room looked nice with a fairly high ceiling, but it backfired. The first problem occurred when I finished my meal and received a massage.I had booked a massage in advance over the phone, and although no explanation was given to me at the time, I was asked to pay in cash on the spot at the end of the massage. I have received massages at various hot springs, but I was very confused because most of the time they charged me when I checked out. I happened to have more than 15,000 yen in cash, so it was a good thing, but I think it would have been better if they had told me on the phone that I would only be paying in cash.As we were relaxing after the massage, a few bugs appeared, and we treated them with insecticide, but when we finally saw a bug over 10 centimeters in size, both my wife and I froze. Unfortunately, it was stuck high up in the ceiling and out of reach of the insecticide. I struggled a few times, but there was nothing I could do because it moved quickly and I was in a high ceiling. My wife called the front desk because she couldn't bear it anymore.I explained the details over the phone, but the person on the other end acted like that was the case and asked me what I should do. My wife asked us to either change the room or get rid of the bugs, but they told us that they couldn't change the room because they didn't have another room, and that they couldn't get rid of the bugs on the ceiling, so we had to put up with it and stay the night. I still told him that it would be difficult, but he replied that it would be fine because gejis don't bite. After that, I put up with it for a while, but I couldn't help it anymore, so I spent the night in the car thinking about it, and I had no choice, so I called again, this time. Then, the person on the other end suddenly changed his attitude and asked me to wait while they prepared another room. After waiting for a while, we were able to change rooms. It made me very distrustful to know why they were saying something different in the first place. The above is very disappointing because the hot springs were very nice and the food was delicious. We do not recommend staying if you are afraid of insects.

Take a day trip to the hot springs. I came here for the cave hot springs, but today the women's bath was a cave hot spring, and the men's bath was an open-air bath, but it was surrounded by greenery and had a spacious and open feeling. Compared to the many open-air baths in Kurokawa Onsen, the temperature of the hot spring is lower and you can soak in it slowly and for a long time. If it's your first time visiting a hot spring and you have at least 3 spots, this is recommended as one of your options. If you're looking for a cave hot spring, Shinmeikan is definitely the place to go.

The rooms were clean and had a relaxing atmosphere.I felt very comfortable with the attentive service, such as keeping my shoes warm when I ate dinner and giving me something to wear when I went out. I'm left-handed, but I was very impressed by how the chopsticks were placed so that I could easily use them while eating breakfast. The food and hot springs were both great.

I stopped by to use the hot spring bath.I hurt my lower back that day, and I had to be very careful about people with bad legs because I got a bump on my butt going down the hill on the way to the bathhouse and from the changing room to the bathtub.I really wish I was a little younger.

I only went to the open-air bath with my bathing ticket. The atmosphere of the whole hostel is very good...As for the baths, do the hole baths and open-air baths change daily? It's like that.
