Second visit and booked directly with Hotel Kodama. Great value for money for 3 adults in 1 room with ensuite facility. Breakfast and dinner included. Dinner was particularly good with a rotating menu every 4 days. …

The kindness and friendliness of the guy at the front desk is pretty good (^^) I'm satisfied, including the price.

For the price a great hotel. The good were really close to the ski slopes, amazing food and VERY filling, onsen available, and the staffs were really helpful. Every night at around 9pm-7am they turned off the room heating but it didn't bother me since I was already in bed. The rooms were clean, but could have been cleaner.

Postscript for February 2024*The woman at the front desk quit and it was just the old men, so it didn't really feel like a hotel front desk anymore.*It was good that the water in the large public bath was hot,The inside of the bathtub is slippery and full of stones. I'm supposed to have to drain the hot water and wash it every day, but I wonder if they're cutting corners in cleaning. It would be dangerous if the disinfectant chlorine ran out.Is it a violation of the regulations?*The heating in the changing room is not on, but the fan is on maximum, so it's too cold in the air conditioner.*Hand soap is still not provided in the public restrooms (also on the dining room floor).Isn't this a violation of the Food Sanitation Act?*A heater with a humidifier is installed to prevent the cold in the room. But it's cold in the morning. I would like the heating in the building to be turned on at 5 o'clock.(Bring an electric stove every time)*The food is still delicious. The usual auntie's special apple pie is delicious (it doesn't come out every day)*The breakfast venue can be extremely cold depending on the location. The bread was very delicious, but unfortunately it was cold. They will warm it up for you if you ask.*It was empty until last year, but for some reason there were many customers this year.*Even after a long time, the homepage is no good. No reply to email❗*The Western-style room is clean and quiet, except for the heating. There is no refrigerator. If you're staying overnight, it's a twin room.・・・・・・・・・・・・Comments from 2 years agoSome people seem to have had terrible experiences, but I had no problems at all.①The woman at the front desk was very kind and polite.②They let me into the room even though I arrived in the morning, which was helpful.③The twin room is quite spacious and comfortable.Towels, cups, toothbrushes, etc. are changed every day. There was tissue paper.④The food is very good in volume and taste. The rice was also hot and delicious. I stayed for 3 nights and it was great that they served elaborate dishes every time. The homemade bread and apple pie (made by the woman in the cafeteria) are especially delicious.Everyone was kind and easy to talk to, making me feel relaxed. It was once a luxury hotel, so the interior has a dignified feel. Now that the prices are low, it would be a mistake to expect the same level of service as a city hotel.Desired item①I would like the room to be heated faster. (It's warm at night, so I'd like you to start an hour earlier in the morning.)★My stove is a must!② Countermeasures against condensation on windows (window side carpet is soaked)It seems like my humidifier is to blame😅③I would like the temperature of the water to be a little hotter (personally)④I would like to see hand soap provided in public restrooms. We have rubbing alcohol. When staying at a resort hotel, the more you talk to the employees and get to know them, the more enjoyable your trip will be.

Two of the three elderly men at the front desk had the worst attitude. I can't even use polite language or have a conversation to communicate. He doesn't admit his mistakes, doesn't apologize, and for some reason is arrogant.During dinner, he brings the next plate while I'm eating, but he doesn't care if my hands are occupied and just sticks out the tray. However, it is completely better than the unpleasant feeling of the front.Employees sometimes walk into the shoe removal area with their shoes on, but that's nothing compared to the unpleasantness at the front desk.

The elderly man at the front desk couldn't use honorific language and was looking at me from above, which was very unpleasant. The room smelled of mold, the heating didn't work well and it was cold, and the heating was noisy. The walls were thin and you could hear the sounds of people living in the next room.Although the room had a refrigerator, shower, and large bath without tissues, during high season there was a line to wash your body, making it look like a sumo room. The food was okay, but the white rice was prepared quickly and was cold, and although it said that there would be a call or announcement in the hall around 6pm about meal times, nothing happened. All alcoholic beverages in the vending machines inside the building are sold out. The only good thing about it was that it was close to the ski slopes.

I went there with high expectations, but was very disappointed.First of all, the two elderly men at the front desk were rude and didn't seem friendly at all.The room has no refrigerator or safe. The entire interior of the hotel and the rooms were dark, and it felt like they had not renovated it and had managed to keep it the way it used to be.disappointing.
