Being located in Okushiga, it has a quiet environment and a good location. In the adjacent music hall, I was able to watch young musicians rehearsing. I was surprised to find that the instructors were legends like Fumiaki Miyamoto and Nobuyuki Mizuno. The employees at the hotel are all very nice people. The French dinner is traditional and goes well with the wine. The breakfast buffet is well prepared and delicious. Although the room is old, it feels clean, but the downside is that there is no air conditioner. The highest temperature in the lower part was 36 degrees, and here it was around 28 degrees, but the sun was strong and it was hot...p.s When I stayed for 2 nights, I had the long-awaited champagne for breakfast on the second day! Great from the morning!

The morning buffet was gorgeous! Miso soup was pork soup! There were many side dishes such as meat and potatoes, kinpira, and sesame dressing, and all of them were warm and delicious! The freshly squeezed orange juice and apple juice were also delicious! The overall atmosphere is elegant and calm. It is located on the top of Shiga Kogen and is very cool, making it a good place not only for winter skiing but also as a escape from the heat. It is the perfect place to relax and be surrounded by nature. Apparently you can also go hiking.

I stayed here for the first time in 40 years. Stayed here for 3 nights. Perhaps my memory has faded, or maybe it was renovated in preparation for the Nagano Olympics, but except for the entrance and car lobby, it looked different from what I had imagined. However, I could feel the atmosphere of music lovers, and I was happy because I thought it was a remnant from when I stayed there at a student orchestra training camp. I think it has an elegance worthy of the Seiji Ozawa of the world visiting regularly. It has a European taste. In addition, the bar lounge above the reception desk has an atmosphere suitable for relaxing during a night of travel. Not only was the view from the hotel wonderful, but we were able to easily enjoy the nature of Shiga Kogen on the surrounding walking courses. If you have a car, you can access many refreshment spots around the area and never get bored. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. Even if you don't have a car, you won't have any trouble accessing the surrounding sightseeing spots.Since there are no restaurants in the area, we recommend making a reservation for dinner on the first night.I would like to come back in 20 years.

It must have been a very splendid and state-of-the-art hotel in the past, but now it's an emotional hotel. We stayed during the green season.Dogs are welcome, so dog lovers will love it.However, only one section allows pets. You can walk through the basement hallway where there are pet-friendly rooms. You can go for a walk outside from the hallway.Water was also provided for washing the feet. However, you will have to leave your dog in the room when eating, so it is better to have a crate. There are built-in gauges, but I think it's better to use something like a crate that they're used to.The public bath is golf course level. The bath in the room is...emotional lolDinner was average, but breakfast was better and each item was delicious.(Other than meat and potatoes lol)Foreigners are working hard as waiters. She has a very polite and beautiful smile.I think it will be difficult to secure human resources in this location.I hope you continue to do your best.It was also mentioned in other people's reviewsThe Japanese staff are a bit more weird 😅There was no pick-up or drop-off at check-in or check-out (a Japanese person was at the reception, but there was no way to carry your luggage). What era is the dryer? There is something called that in the room. If you are particular about hair dryers, you may want to bring your own.Although it is undeniably old, it is well-maintained and comfortable. There are great hotels nearbyThrow away your strange prideSpecializing in more dog friendlyWe will create unique strengths to attract dog lovers.I thought we should review our future management...The hotel staff didn't seem to like dogs though 😅Even though it's green seasonThe customers were empty.I kind of agree.Free WiFi connects without a password.Pet-friendly rooms are weak (´・▽・`)YowaEither it goes in or it doesn't.So I can't connect unless I go to the lobby lolBut I can't let my dog out of the crate.I can't go lolWhen you really need WiFiI have no choice but to do it while eating (* 'ᵕ' )☆

I stayed here skiing. The price was higher than I expected. But it was nice that there were so many pictures of my favorites on display. The ceramics were also good, as you would expect from a luxury hotel.
