The room was very nice and the service was excellent. The room did, however, have a slight smell of dampness.

We stayed for two nights as part of our Honeymoon to Japan. The staff at Urara were fantastic, super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing!! With a Japanese meal consisting of 8 courses every evening that was out of this world. The staff were on hand to provide a few pointers on how to enjoy the meal. Breakfast was European with a slight Japanese theme.Perfect stay

It is right in front of the train station. The service is very friendly and the room was small but well used. It is a very authentic hotel. The most spectacular thing was the dinners, lots of quantity, variety and, above all, of extraordinary quality. We would return without hesitation!!

A disappointment! Our experience at the Japanese hotel with typical dinner and breakfast was anything but what we expected. Upon arrival we were escorted to our room, which only had a table and chairs. When we asked where the bedroom was we were told that the beds would not be made until dinner time. Even then we noticed that the room did not correspond to what was proposed on the website. After dinner we were stunned when we entered the room. It was completely covered in mattresses on the floor, leaving hardly any room to move. We literally had to walk over the mattresses to get to our suitcase or to the toilet. The dinner itself consisted of ten different courses, but it was a big hodgepodge of fish, meat and vegetables. At breakfast we were served twelve jars with a similar mix of ingredients.

If one could give 6 stars out of five for perfection, this hotel would deserve it! The service, the amenities, the attention to detail, the room we had with bath and toilet, the view, the comfort, the respect, the FOOD (easily the best meal we have ever had in Japan)!!! A few steps across the street from the train station, step into absolute luxury on your next visit! Oh, did o mention free flow of coffee, tea, sweets and a beautiful onsen within the wall of Urara? If the air conditioning in our room had been functional, this hotel would get a perfect rating!

Amazing place. Highly recommend. The staff is super nice, the food is absolutely delicious and high quality, the rooms, and even the whole building looks stunning. I expected it to be way more expensive based on the quality of service, but on the contrary, luxury for affordable price.
