Used for day trips. The cloudy hot water flowing directly from the source is lukewarm at around 39 degrees, so you can stay in it for as long as you like.Since it is a sulfur spring, the smell of sulfur is pleasant, and even though the water is lukewarm, it warms you from the core after soaking in it for a while, and you will feel warm for a while after you get out of the bath.In addition to the large mixed open-air bath, there are indoor baths for men and women as well as small open-air baths for men and women, so anyone can use them with confidence. However, the mixed bathing large open-air bath itself has thick, cloudy hot water and a structure with entrances and exits that take line of sight into consideration, so I think the difficulty level for a mixed bath is quite low.

It takes some work to get to this mountain ryokan, but the effort is rewarded with an authentic experience including fabulous milky-water spring-fed baths.  …

I understand that it's busy, but the number of customers exceeds the limit. In the changing room, baskets were scattered on the floor and shelves, and the wet carpet on the floor was disgusting.

Anyway, the rooms are too cold. The door doesn't close properly, and despite the price, the toilet and washroom are shared, which is very disappointing. It was a shame because the mixed bathing is a good bath and the water was decent.

Used for day trip bathing. On the way back from Mt. Norikura, I am grateful that I can go directly north from the tourist center and stop by.It might be a coincidence, but when I visited in the afternoon, there weren't many people, so I took my time. This may be because the day-use reception is open until 13:30, so there are very few people who come later. I was able to enjoy the calm and high-quality hot springs. The large open-air bath is a mixed bath.Although it's spacious, it's so big that it's hard to feel someone's presence in the bathtub, so if you go solo and there's someone of the opposite sex, you might feel awkward. I did.The bathtub is quite deep and the water is milky, so you don't have to worry about being seen if you submerge your body as you move.Although it is so small that I accidentally missed it, there is a separate open-air bath with the same water quality, so it is possible to enjoy the open-air bath without having to bathe together.

You will have to walk through a steep mountain road to reach the inn, so be careful if you are confident in driving a car!The hot springs at the inn are white and open-air baths where men and women can take a mixed bath! The temperature of the hot springs is warm, so it might be recommended for people who don't like hot hot springs!
