Absolutely loved Hotel Bonfire. Comfortable and cosy rooms. Great location next to Happo One Gondola, many food options and ski hire. It has an onsen (inside and outside) which was wonderful after each tough day of skiing. Best of all was the staff/customer service. They responded quickly, addressed any concerns/queries we had and picked us up in their shuttle. Will definitely stay again

Friendly and helpful owner but is not a hotel it's more like a hostel. The breakfast was so bad that it's almost funny.

At over $400/night we would've expected a lot more. The breakfasts in particular were an embarrament, disgusting prepacked stodge, incredible the owners still serve this despite many guests leaving theirs mostly untouched. So we and others brought our own to the dining room. The very small rooms are to be expected, as the location is perfect, right next to the Happoone gondola. Staff are pleasant of course. The onsen is very good.

Great location right next to the gondola, no beds though, traditional Japanese bed in laying on the floor, good onsen 🙏

Very good location (right next to the Gondola). If you are a keen skier or snowboarder who don't care about good foods or fancy accommodations , only focusing on skiing all day long, I guess this hotel is reasonable.I expected the hot spring here but the hours available for it is too short (only four hours like 4:30 - 8:30 pm).Breakfast is very simple but no eggs. If you need more energy for good start of the day or just being bored of the simple one, I recommend the one which is served at Recovery Bar right down the slope in front of the hotel. You can eat a couple of toasts, scrambled egg, fried bacon with hashed potatoes.
