Great location, hosts, and space. One of the better lodges Ive stayed at in the Hakuba area, maybe the best in Otari given the cost performance and various amenities (parking, good WiFi, nice living room setup w/ projector & popcorn, etc.) Would recommend for families, solo travelers, couples and groups of friends.

We stayed in Hakuba for about a week and a half with a friend doing some backcountry snowboarding in Tsugaike, Cortina and Happo. Decided to stay at Sunshine Hakuba Lodge for 3 days to start with. As we got comfortable in room 4 and enjoyed the hospitality of the owners Kenny and Eli, we extended our stay to a full week. Kenny and Eli were super friendly and helpful. They offered delicious popcorns and a good breakfast. The lodge is well located and has a parking lot with direct access to the slopes (see the pic attached). Amenities include a dry room, a projector with tons of movies and a Wii. We had a great stay and will come back again whenever we are in Hakuba.

We paid ¥10,000 for a room that can be used by 4 adults . It’s really reasonable and there are so friendly.

The owners and staff are very kind and the service is attentive. The accommodation room and lounge space were comfortable. The location is good and there is a ski resort in the back. The owner even arranged for our luggage to be sent to Yamato Transport. I'm really thankful to you.

It was a great location right in front of the ski slopes. Also, the dinner and breakfast were delicious, and I would like to use it again with my family. I was able to stay with my five children in a room with a loft, and we made some great memories. Since this is a pension, please don't forget your pajamas, toothbrush, and other toiletries.

It's in a great location, with the slopes at the back so you can ski and play in the snow. It was a homey pension and it was very comfortable. Recommended for those with children.I'll go again next month.

The food and location were great!The slopes are right in front of you, so it's nice to be able to come back right after you finish skiing (≧▽≦)
