Highly recommend Alpine winds for first timers in Hakuba. Ben the host was like a walking Google but more helpful! Could always count on him to recommend the best mountains to go to, the best places to eat and he even took us to and from the bus terminal. It was a very homely comfortable environment to stay in and we will definitely be back!

This was my first time using a pension, and the family was very kind.I had a great time in the open-air bath and could see the mountains in the distance. I would like to use it again if I come nearby.Thank you so much. I hope to come again.

Stayed here for 5 nights, sharing a room with my 2 adult children. The room was uncomfortable small and there was insufficient space for our suitcases - 3 beds squashed into a small 2 bed room. …

Stayed 3 nights and Ben the owner was really friendly and helpful with his knowledge of the area and the best slopes to go to depending on the weather conditions of that particular day. …

Loved this place! Don't pay for ski in/out. This place is wonderful and walking distance to bus pick up for both Happo One and Hakuba47 and a block to a local main Street with fabulous restaurants. We drove (free parking @ b&b and at ski resorts). Very very quiet at night and private spa (Onsen) you can reserve (Amazing!). Owners are Australian (husband) and Japanese (wife). Very helpful.Skiing was amazing and we had such a good time. I recommend going into town early and reserving a restaurant as most are small and book up on the weekend. We ended up as a small Australian pup (pizza place) and they had the best fish&chips. The B&B breakfast was great (starts at 7:30am) and was perfectly filling. We really enjoyed this place and hope to be back soon!
