The landlady was energetic and although it was an old inn, it seemed clean. However, the disappointing thing is the breakfast. This inn doesn't serve dinner, so make sure you're hungry before having breakfast. Salmon is usually grilled with salt, but for some reason it was grilled with butter-flavored margarine. My stomach has been heavy since this morning. Just the smell was enough. Even if I use the rice as a gift, I would like to eat it as a regular bowl of rice. However, there were only two rice balls. This rice ball is difficult. The rice grains are crushed and the rice is watery and doesn't taste as good. Either I was squeezing it too hard, or the rice wasn't watery enough, either way, the rice grains didn't stand up. Is the rice cooked the day before instead of freshly cooked? It smells a little. It is very difficult to call it a rice ball. Even chefs can't master the importance of paying attention to the grains of rice, how well they are handled, the amount of salt, etc. It was a hot spring inn that only served breakfast, so my expectations may have been high. On the other hand, if you make this breakfast simple, delicious, and highly complete, you will likely increase the number of repeat customers and impress new customers. I look forward to the future.

I'm so glad I stayed here! I enjoyed drinking milk after taking an open-air bath, walking around the hot spring town at night with my geta on, and having breakfast from the landlady. It was a memorable night✨

A certain travel site had given it a terrifying 5-point score, so I was skeptical when I stayed there, wondering, "Is it really true?" But, yes, it makes sense that this inn deserves a perfect score lol.First of all, the atmosphere of the building is great. The interior and rooms of the inn look as if they were a set from an old Japanese film (during the heyday of Kadokawa films). The temperature of the hot springs is adjusted to an appropriate level, so you can fully enjoy the Shibu-no-Yu (on the other hand, the outside baths are so hot that you might think it's torture...)The inn only serves breakfast, but the rice is delicious! Vegetables are also delicious! The salmon is also cooked in a western style and is great! Also, the landlady's character is very strong (in a good way) lolIt may be overwhelming for some people, but it's no wonder that some people are fascinated by the character of the landlady and become repeat customers. To summarize, the atmosphere is good, the hot water is good, the food is good, and the characters are good, so it's perfect! !...To be honest, I really do want a washlet. Also, call your hotel first to confirm the location of the parking lot and head there directly. If you leave it to the navigation (including Google navigation), you will be guided down extremely narrow roads and will almost cry. Also, on the day I went, they didn't have any of this famous Obuse milk...Next time I'd like to get some milk revenge! !

Please be sure to check the location of the parking lot in advance as it is difficult to locate. If you put it in the navigation system, you will be guided to the main entrance, but that is an impossible route for paper drivers.Let's head to the parking lot quietly. The rooms are comfortable and the location is perfect for visiting the 9 hot springs. The landlady was friendly and it was a very enjoyable stay. However, if you are the first one to go to the open-air bath, it will be hot enough to kill you, no joke, so you will definitely have to soak in the hot water. It was the first time in my life that I was able to experience a hot spring massage that wasn't entertainment, so I thought it would be fun to bring my foreign friends along. It was a lot of fun to be able to drink craft beer at a reasonable price, drink coffee, and have hospitality that would help you reach your itchy areas.I will definitely go again.

A long-established inn located next to Shibu Onsen's Oyu. You can feel the history and elegance from the exterior. I used it for a day trip bath. Bathing fee 1000 yen. I took a bath in the underground bath. …

I visited Shibu Onsen for the first time because I wanted to see the monkeys at Jigokudani Onsen. I had been underestimating the place because it was deep in the mountains of Nagano, but I was surprised to see so many foreign tourists visiting. It's close to ski resorts, there are monkeys, and hot springs, so if you think about it, it's a wonderful tourist destination. My family of three stayed at Yumoto Ryokan, which is a long-established hotel in Shibu Onsen and offers interesting accommodation plans. It was a wonderful stay, as we all cooled down the hot water while saying it was hot, ate at a restaurant in the hot spring town, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by the hostess. My 4-year-old daughter has become such a fan of the famous landlady that by the time we got home she was crying out, wanting to stay and play with her. Rare character? The host also treated me well. The inn is an old-fashioned yet relaxing building with a pure Japanese style that gives it the feel of a long-established establishment. It was winter, so the hallway was chilly, but walking after the piping hot spring bath was a nice relief from the heat. The price is also reasonable, so I highly recommend it for families traveling together.
