Stay here. The old reviews about the poor quality rooms are all out of date. The rooms must've been refurbished because mine was really nice. The toilet is a bit inconvenient but a small price to pay for such good value accom close to Happo one. 10 mins walk to the gondola.

Meals are sufficient for seniors. The room is also large. It was a problem that there was no flush toilet seat. Although it is a little far from the Mt. Nagi slope, you can walk there. The problem was that I couldn't arrive by searching for the phone number in the navigation 😱

2023.2I was very satisfied with the delicious food and the hot springs flowing directly from the source. The nozawana and miso soup are homemade and very delicious. You can get a change. The location is not bad as it is 8 minutes walk from Mt. Nagi slope and 4 minutes to Lawson.

This is where a former friend of mine called Nmura (who has apparently moved to Hokkaido and his whereabouts are unknown) used to stay here in Hakuba, and that's how I ended up alone. This is also where I stayed when I practiced secretly at Happo-one.When this place was full, I used different places, such as staying at Bergland at Happo Crossing. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the Nagiyama slope carrying a board. It's pretty tough after skiing a lot, but it's understandable since it's almost halfway up the slope. The building's facilities are Showa-style.For better or worse, it's rustic and old.The ski drying room is underground, and it's a little scary to go down the steep stairs in ski boots. The heating in some rooms worked well and others didn't, and when I lost my job, it was so cold that I had to wear thick clothes. That was about 10 years ago, so I wonder how much has changed since then. The food is average, and when it's busy, a few young part-time workers come to help, and everyone is very happy and has a nice atmosphere.Back then, the only way to make a reservation was to call them directly, but now you can make reservations on Rakuten or Jalan, so I guess things have improved in that regard. If my current inn, Bergland, goes out of business, I'm thinking of staying here again.

The heating in the room is not effective. The only good thing is the hot springs. However, this was also due to the coronavirus pandemic, and there was a sign saying that each family or group should come in, and they were also urged to leave early, saying, ``Take a bath early,'' so it was a shame that I couldn't take my time. I had planned to eat out for dinner, but I was told directly to refrain from eating out, so I had no choice but to buy some side dishes at the supermarket, but there was a sign in the hallway that said no outside food or drink was allowed. Perhaps they are concerned about the coronavirus, but there are no disinfectant sprays or air purifiers, which are common in other facilities. The room is small, Japanese-style, but the futon is small, and it can't be helped that the building is old, but I think the facilities could be updated.
