I stayed here for one night in August 2022 on a solo trip. Osenkaku is located right next to Kiriake Onsen, where hot springs gush out when you dig into the river bank. This inn has a fairly large parking lot, and apparently you can rent out things like parking and shovels for free.Since I was traveling alone this time, I thought it would be nice to play by myself on the riverbank, so I refrained from going there.I stayed in an 8 tatami room with an air conditioner built into the window frame that was a bit noisy. It's enough for one person. The air conditioner is not necessary at night, so unless you're staying during the hot hours of the day, it won't be a problem. There are large public baths for men and women and private open-air baths. The open air is open for 30 minutes, and you can enter if it's empty. However, if you don't go to the open air after the sun has set a little, you might be able to see it completely from the families playing on the riverbank. And hot water! I unknowingly stuck my hand in it and almost got burned. . Well, it feels more like an open-air bath than an open-air bath, but I think it would be nice to bathe at the right temperature at dusk. On the other hand, the public bath is lukewarm. Source input is not a big deal. The source at the inlet seems to be a little cloudy, but the hot water that collects in the bathtub is clear and colorless, and I don't think the freshness is bad. There is a slight sulfur smell, but once you get used to it, you won't notice it at all. The large public bath was well-lit and had a nice atmosphere with the reflection of the hot water sparkling. However, it was quite lukewarm in the morning, so I didn't feel like I could take a long bath. For dinner, we had shabu-shabu hot pot with venison, wild boar, and bear meat, and we had a variety of sake brands from Nagano, which we thoroughly enjoyed.Bear meat is delicious, but be careful as it is quite fatty!

Too bad😢You can clearly see the riverbank of Kiriake Onsen from the window.2023/10/29

Kirimei Onsen in Kaharu has no relation to Osenkaku. There are already multiple holes so there is no need to dig. However, temperature control is quite difficult! It goes without saying that soaking in a hot spring while listening to the sound of the river feels great.
