A bit out of the way but worth the detour!!Shinshu salmon marinated with the herbs was fantastic, the pasta itself was delicious (took the wagyu bolognese), the Cacio & pepe pasta was also excellent. The tartiflette had a very good amount of reblochon cheese even by French standard. Good selection of wines. The layout of the restaurant/cafe is very cosy. Overall very decent price taking into consideration the post Covid inflation. Want to come back!

If you cancel your reservation even one month in advance, you will be charged a 100% cancellation fee, so it's the day you can really stay.They charge you cancellation fees even a month ago.So make sure that you can stay on the day you booked.100% cancellation fee will be charged immediately if you cancel your reservation for one month prior to your arrival.

Gorgeous, cozy little restaurant with the ABSOLUTE best Wagyu and crème brûlée I’ve ever had. Fabulous service too. Our group of 6 returned 5 times in 3 days for dinner, dessert and breakfast. 5 minutes walk from the base of the Gondola. Highly, highly recommend!!

This place does food, and bloody good food at that. Get the wagyu sirloin and crème bruleee and you will not be disappointed. Staff speak enough English, there’s a fire going and you get slippers to wear. 5/5 stars.

Positive points——————Staff: They were really friendly and very helpful when we needed help to make reservation for restaurants.Location: Great! It is really close to the Happo One Gondola and ski rental. 5-7mins walk if you’re fully geared. There a path that you can through the forest. This path is a short cut in and out of the guesthouse. Look at the first picture.To get to the hotel, You can take the HV1 free shuttle bus from the happo bus terminal to the gondola station and walk from there.Breakfast: was really good, the chef rotates 2 days western 1 day Japanese. She makes really good scramble egg, her hard boil egg has a nice golden Center. Japanese breakfast was a small piece of fish with the rice, perfect way to start the day before skiing.——————Negative points——————Cleanliness: We were sneezing a lot in the room. Maybe the carpets were dusty, our room had a big chimney pipe. So that could have added to the sneezing.——————Do take note that——————Rooms are quite small, and there are no attached toilets. All toilets and showers are communal. Air in the toilet and showers area are not heated. It can get quite cold getting out of the shower.
