This was my favorite stay during our trek. The room was incredibly cozy, and the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. On top of that, the host prepared an amazing dinner and breakfast for us. Ordering their lunch box was the best decision! I highly recommend staying here.

For Taiwanese tourists traveling on the Kumano Kodo self-guided tour, the boss can speak Chinese. The B&B provides laundry services. One of the 2 shared bathrooms has a bathtub. The only drawback is that there is only 1 toilet🤣. It is clean and comfortable and the price is affordable. It is suitable for self-guided travelers. It is very Great B&B.

Comfortable stay in Chikatsuyu along the Kumano Kodo. Ike (the host/owner) was incredibly kind - he offered to take me to an onsen, to do laundry, etc. He even suggested some changes to my Kumano trek plan that were 100% an improvement. And his homemade okonomiyaki is excellent, he used to work in a restaurant!

The location is not far from Kinlu Prince (about 50 meters). The boss is very nice. He has lived in Shanghai before. He speaks very authentic Chinese. The service is really excellent! The food is great, but remember to order early.

We stayed at Konro for the second night on the Kumano Kodo Trail. It was a great B&B. The boss and his wife were kind and took care of our itinerary and catering needs in advance. They shared the characteristics, road conditions, weather and bus routes of different sections of the Kumano Kodo Trail. You can feel that the boss loves this land very much. ! The room is quiet and clean, with the aroma of wood. The Okonomiyaki for dinner was delicious and gave us full energy. The boss’s sake and home-brewed plum wine were also great. I highly recommend friends who come to Kumano Kodo to choose to stay here.
