The location is near the Oto River, about a 10 minute drive south of Kumano Hongu Taisha. The nearest stations are 1 hour by bus from Shingu Station and 1 hour and 45 minutes from Kii-Tanabe Station, so if you plan to include sightseeing in the area, it is realistic to visit by car.Detailed conditions for bringing dogs into this facility are listed on the official website. The outline is as follows. There are no breed requirements or restrictions on the number of dogs, and the fee is 2,200 yen per dog.・If you are bringing a pet, please use Buildings 2, 3, and the back annex.・Advance notice is required if you wish to accompany your child.・Must bring proof of rabies/vaccination.・It is necessary to wear a manners belt and manners pants inside the facility.・Perfect toilet training.・Do not bark unnecessarily.・If the fittings or fixtures are damaged or dirty and need repair, you will be charged a repair fee.If you bring your dog with you, we will provide paw wipes. You will need to bring everything else you need. Regarding dog-related facilities, there is a dog run when using the back annex. You may accompany your child to your room, hallway, or restaurant. The room we used this time was a twin bedroom. Although the room was not large, it had a toilet attached and was sufficient for a relaxing night. I could see the Oto River from the window, and was able to spend a quiet time while feeling the murmuring of the river. Also, although the facility itself is showing its age, it seemed to be generally kept clean. Although the bathroom is not attached to the room, the Kawayu hot spring is drawn into the building, and you can enjoy the sodium, bicarbonate, and chloride hot springs flowing directly into the building. Although it is limited to winter, you can enjoy a large open-air bath called "Sennin Onsen" on the banks of the Oto River (swimwear required, pets not allowed). Please enjoy this if the season and conditions are right. Meals are served in the restaurant, where you can bring your dog.As for the meal, this time I chose the standard menu ``Manpuku Gozen''. As the name suggests, it was a full and satisfying course that included local Kumano sweetfish, sashimi, hotpot, simmered dishes, and grilled dishes. As an option, you can also enjoy local Kumano beef steak and grilled meat. If you want to enjoy local Wagyu beef, we recommend that you reserve this option in advance. The breakfast menu is simple but has a hearty taste, making it the perfect base for walking the Kumano Kodo.As for the price, on a Friday in early January, it was 11,700 yen per person for two people staying with pets, and a total of about 28,000 yen for two people and two animals. I think it's a good value for an accommodation with a hot spring and a full breakfast and dinner.Summary: Onsen Minshuku Omuraya is a lodging facility (minshuku with hot springs) that is suitable for visiting Kumano Sanzan with your dog. Since you can enjoy the high quality hot spring water, I think this is a relaxing inn for the owners as well.
