Since we visited during the fall holidays in Japan, the rates for accommodations throughout Japan from October 12 to 14, 2024 were extremely expensive. A single room in a business hotel costs over 20,000-25,000 yen, which is ridiculous, so I thought it was a waste of money to stay in a big city while working. So, while looking for accommodation in the Wakayama prefecture area, I found a reasonably priced accommodation through Agoda, and this was the hotel I stayed at.I was assigned a single room on the 3rd floor, and although the room seemed a bit smelly, it wasn't too bad for my stay. However, there had been no guests in the room for more than a few days, so there was a strand of cobwebs on the bed, and the toilet in the bathroom was not cleaned well. There was hair on the available desk, so I regret having to do a quick cleaning myself before staying. And the internet provided by the hotel worked, but the speed was so slow that it was difficult to use (it was easier to use at the front desk on the first floor and at the breakfast restaurant than in the rooms). In the case of the bathroom, since this hotel has been in business for a long time, there are 'signs of age' in the facilities, but it was still neatly maintained. Although I had to use the analog method of turning the hot and cold water by hand, the water pressure was good and the water quality was clean. At night, the temperature dropped and I felt a little chilly, but after taking a bath in the hot water, my body warmed up and I was able to sleep comfortably. In the case of television, you could only watch broadcast programs mainly on terrestrial channels, but you could not watch many Japanese BS channels. I was able to watch local broadcasts from Wakayama and news from Osaka, but what was unique was that I was also able to watch broadcasts from Tokushima Prefecture in the Shikoku region of Japan. While staying in the room, I enjoyed watching a program about three women going on a local trip, and I also enjoyed watching 'a movie program about the Japanese Metropolitan Police Headquarters being taken over and the crisis being resolved.'However, the area around the accommodation was quiet, the view wasn't bad, and most of all, I think it was nice that the windows could be opened. I was also able to enjoy a delicious breakfast thanks to the breakfast option I applied for when I made the reservation. If you stay at this hotel, I would definitely recommend the breakfast option. Overall, although it is an older hotel, I would like to recommend 'Hotel Itoh' because it is a well-maintained accommodation.

The hotel looks rather old from the outside, but the interior is kept clean. The hallways are also wide and open. There are many rooms per floor, so I think there is a main building and an annex, but the annex is quite far from the reception. The unit bath in the room is also spacious, and the water pressure in the shower is strong and hot water comes out quickly without having to wait. There is a refrigerator and an outlet next to the bed. The air conditioning worked well and was comfortable. The parking lot is large. There is not only the area right at the entrance, but also the opposite side through the building.postscript:The interior and facilities were better than the last time I used it. There was also a USB port next to the bed. Wi-Fi was also easy to use.Breakfast changed from a set meal to a buffet. The menu didn't have much of anything special and it felt similar to other hotels, but I'm a big breakfast person so I was grateful that I was able to eat a lot of it.
