Great view of the waterfall from our window. Room basic, small but clean. Nice facilities. Great japanese dinner. Easier access from Nachisan to the 3 tier pagoda than from the waterfall bus station, less to climb and paved path. You can then continue to to the Falls.

Small Japanese style room looking out over the road (and being looked into) with shared bathroom. Tired structure but the high cost is attributable to it's position. Dinner and breakfast were quite good and plentiful.

In fluent Japanese I reserved the available room but then when I told him my name, and he knew I had a non-Japanese name, he told me that he could no longer accept my room reservation.Racism??? I can’t think of any other possible explanation.

Food served in disposable plastic, military calls from the speakers, single use plastic shower bag. It was clean but clearly meant to get money from hikers. Cold and unfriendly. Much room for improvement.
