The house is new. They have everything you need while you stay. It is very clean and tidy and everything is so well organized. I could feel owner's love and Japanese people's heart. There is a big supermarket in few minutes walk so it's convenient to buy and cook in the house.Highly recommended.

I have stayed at all three of the Kokoyui guesthouses and I love each one of them. The self check-in went seamlessly and I appreciated the flexibility of this option. I had a few questions about local restaurants and trips from Shingu and the hosts have compiled an amazing booklet that was so helpful. The house had everything I needed (more than!) and was so clean and comfortable. It is clear that the hosts really care about their guests. I stayed here after hiking the kumano kodo and it was a welcome rest and base from which I could explore Shingu, Kii-Katsura, and revisit Hongu and Nachi Falls.

The guesthouse is exactly the same as shown on the website. Very clean and full of kitchen appliances. We booked the entire house with 4 people, slept in 2 Japanese rooms and hung out at the dining/living room. The owner prepared a book of useful information, especially the map of nearby places/restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here, and definitely recommend :)

This is a hidden gem in a small town of Shingu that has so much to offer. Our small family with a toddler stayed here for four nights and frankly one of the best places we were stayed in Japan.Very clean, near the strain station and multiple stores an entire home with all the amenities we could think of. Very comfortable futon beds and a very helpful host Yoko-san who can advise and help with the spots to see.Shingu is an undiscovered for many tourists which makes it fantastic. The best hiking with Kimono Kodo, beaches, onsens and many other places to see. If you ever in Shingu, I cannot recommend enough this guest house.

The B&B host was super considerate and had to check in early due to heavy rain. He also helped wash and dry the wet clothes for free.
