Loved this little campground! Onsen, couches and vending machine drinks/beer and cup noodles for sale inside. A cozy cooking shelter and riverside camping. The staff are very kind, highly recommend the 1000yen breakfast before your big hike to Nachi. A great place to stay on the Kumano Kodo!

It is one of two possible accomodations in that village so be happy if you get a place. The rooms are nice, comfortable tatami, the food is less good as often group tours are coming and it might be difficult to prepare food which tastes good for everyone. Better would it be to offer the delicious japanese food instead of mix. Otherwise it is ok.

I stayed in a tent. It also had a bath, so I was able to stay there for a pretty cheap price! It was a great trip thanks to this accommodation! thank you!

It was a handy stop on the Kumano Kodo. But it hasn't come a long way from its history as a school. Everything felt a bit basic and, well, school-like. Shared facilities etc. Food was filling. People were all friendly.

Xiaokou Town is located on the only road between Dayuntoriyue and Xiaoyuntoriyue. The location of the B&B is excellent. The B&B was renovated from a school and retains a strong Japanese style. It is located by the river, with good air and beautiful scenery, and the meals are also good. Yes, there is also a loudspeaker from my childhood classroom in the room; it will notify everyone when it’s time to eat. It's just that the equipment is a bit old.It is also worth mentioning that this was the first time I saw that the air-conditioning in the room was coin-operated.

We stayed at the campsite while our friends had rooms booked. It was ¥1000 per person, for sleeping in the car. You get access to the facilities of the hostel, so you can take a bath and do your laundry. Such a great service! Also it was amazing to swim in the river at sunset. Would definitely recommend staying over night, even if you are not doing the Kumano Kodo.
