When I came to Mt. Koya, I didn't have a place to stay, so even though I asked for an overnight stay, I was immediately guided to an available room. Apart from the cup ramen and tea and coffee provided in the room, I was also very happy to receive orange juice (^^) I highly recommend this inn (business hotel style) to everyone. Stayed on August 2, 2024 for ¥8,800🙆‍♀️ ̖́-

In this I found the kindness, help and great hospitality that I definitely did not find in the temples which are mostly money businesses This place is literally next to the cemetery of Koyasan which is the biggest highlight and you can visit if for free day and night. The owner of the ryokan helped me a lot with everything = she took me by car to take my luggage that I left in the locker while I was visiting the village and she gave me welcome food and also something for dinner as everything in Koyasan close super early :) I TOTALLY recommend this place !!

There are many lodgings in Mt. Koya, but if you just want to stay overnight, a reasonably priced ryokan is a good option. The inn is clean and there is a nice place next to the inn called Tempu Terrace where you can buy food souvenirs. The restaurant is open from 11:00 to 17:00, so plan on having dinner early. It seems like all the shops in Koyasan close before 5pm. In the morning, there were cafes and Japanese sweets shops that opened before 8am.

Close to Okunoin, it's a good location for a walk in the evening or early morning. The rest...it's not good. Hair stands out on the white sheets of the bed. Also in the bathroom. I'm not a clean freak by nature, but I don't clean my house thoroughly.Check out is at 10am. Before that, I went to Okunoin and when I returned, I was surprised to find that it had been cleaned. I was told, ``I'm sorry for coming in without permission,'' but I wasn't in a good mood.In short, this is the only inn with breakfast included for 7,700 yen in Mt. Koya, where there are a lot of business-minded lodgings priced around 20,000 yen, so this is not an option. An inn that makes sense. B&B instead of innAfter this, I stayed at the Toyoko Inn in Tennoji, which cost 6,800 yen and included breakfast, and the room was super clean (^^). There was a difference in the sensibilities of hosts in the city and in the countryside.

Even though I had made a reservation to check in at 4pm, there was no one at the front desk. It's been a while since I called. The hallway in front of the room is an open smoking area, and when you open the door,The room was filled with smoke and the smell was unbearable. The speaking voice is too loud. The price is low among the inns in Koyasan. I don't recommend it unless you have money.

When I stay in Mt. Koya, I will choose Tamagawa Ryokan again! It's a ryokan where you can only stay overnight without meals, so I don't have much to say about the food, but it's been renovated and is beautiful, there's a parking lot for motorcycles, and it's right in front of the approach to Okunoin... Above all, the hostess's warm humanity and smile. was the best! This is the place to stay in Koyasan! We recommend purchasing alcohol and snacks a little further away before staying the night! As a side note, the next day I visited Mt. Yoshino to pray... From Mt. Koya, I decided not to turn back the way I had climbed, but to get off on the other side, and started running. Not the road! After running frantically for about 15km, when I reached the road with the center line...I felt like Buddha.

The sheets had not been changed and there was a lot of hair from the previous guest. |The garbage in the trash can was not thrown away, and the water in the pot was left untouched. …
