In August 2024, I had some work to do in Wakayama, so I decided to arrive the day before. Our accommodation is Daiwa Roynet Hotel Wakayama, which takes some time to walk from the station. However, Wakayama Castle is across the road, so being able to see it from the window is a big plus. The front desk has a calm atmosphere and is polite. The room was a typical single room with breakfast included, but the unit bath was also clean. When you look out the window, Wakayama Castle is clearly visible. The breakfast venue is the restaurant on the 3rd floor.I was able to fully enjoy the flavors of Wakayama, such as pickled plums, whitebait, Kinzanji miso, and ramen. You can think of Japanese food as the main food, with less Western food.I especially thought the umeboshi were delicious, and all of them were large.I had apple plums and soba plums, and they had a sweet taste due to the low salt concentration, and they were also juicy, which made me realize that these were fruits. It was no longer "dried" plums...!It was so delicious that I ate 4 of them and felt the pride of Wakayama lol.Since work started at 9 a.m., I took a quick tour of Wakayama Castle, which is just a stone's throw away, as if to get some exercise after dinner. It was the height of summer when I went and I was sweating a lot, so I was able to return to the hotel and take a quick shower before heading to work, which was unique to the close proximity.

The room was comfortable and had an air purifier and a trouser press. The price goes up quite a bit if you include breakfast, so I was satisfied because there was a convenience store nearby.

The room is clean and tidy, well-equipped and the location is excellent. The most recommended room is a room facing Wakayama city view. Although it requires an extra price, it is completely worth it.The hotel has a high floor, and you can enjoy the scenery of Wakayama City from the windows. You can have a panoramic view of Wakayama Castle. At night, Wakayama Castle is lit up, and the view from the hotel is even more stunning.

I think the location of this hotel is the best in Wakayama City, because you can see Wakayama Castle from the hotel! It's only a 20-minute walk from the JR station and a 10-minute bus ride away, which is very convenient. The hotel itself, I booked too late, so the price is a bit expensive, but the hotel itself is very clean and well-equipped. For a Japanese hotel, the room is quite large, so I am quite satisfied.I noticed two shortcomings. One is that the washing machine in the laundry room is not very clean, and there are flocs and hairs visible to the naked eye. The other is that the sound insulation is average. I will be noisy by passengers passing by the corridor in the room, but overall the flaws are not outweighed.

There were pebbles in the fried rice at the Chinese restaurant.worst.Entered the store after 9pm. I was shown to a table next to a group of noisy Chinese people.Quite noisy. There was no place to eat inside the building at this time, so I had to be patient.Normally, I want to leave the restaurant even if I have to pay for the food I didn't eat. The store doesn't think about that. I think it would be easier to clean up afterward if the tables were next to each other. There are no words to apologize.

Located near the Wakayama Castle. You can see the castle in the room and the restaurant. The room is big enough for two people and very clean. The breakfast buffet is very good with many different dishes.

Although it is not very convenient from the station, there is a convenience store, a restaurant, and a taxi stand on the 1st floor, so it is convenient to get around from the hotel.

The room is simple and tidy with complete facilities. The staff are polite and can see the scenery of Waka Castle, and can take clear pictures of day and night scenes. From some locations, you can see the cityscape of Wakayama City. There is a huge price difference between weekdays and Sundays. Due to the schedule, you still have to pay a higher price to stay. If you have the opportunity to stay again, weekdays will be more cost-effective. There is a bookstore and a FamilyMart convenience store downstairs. There are not many shops or restaurants nearby. The best thing about the location is that you can walk to Waka Castle across the road. You need to park in the several-story parking lot opposite. Pay 1,000 yen at the hotel and you can enter and exit unlimitedly for 24 hours.
