This is a business hotel with an electric vehicle (EV) charging station that is free for guests.More and more lodging facilities are installing EV charging stations, but there are almost no locations that are ``free for guests''. However, this charging station at Hotel Kii Tanabe is free for guests, and you can fully charge your battery from check-in to check-out. When I arrived, the battery level was about 55%, but by the time I checked out, I was able to leave with a 100% charge and was able to continue my journey with peace of mind. I am very grateful. There is a 3kW normal charger for two cars. This is a common Panasonic charger. If you want to charge your car, you need to call the front desk and ask them to unlock it. When you check out, you can also ask the front desk to fix the cable. It seems like it's on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you have a battery, we recommend checking in early.The hotel's facilities were adequate, and as someone who has been in business hotels for several decades, it looked like a business hotel. When I asked the front desk if there was an affiliated hotel I would like to stay at, I was told that this hotel is privately owned and that only one building is currently in operation. I would like to see it spread throughout the country.It's common for guest rooms to have USB ports on their outlets, but it's great that they also have USB-C ports.The free breakfast is also ingenious. The eating area is large and the desk is large. Salads are served individually, making it difficult to line up. I can't find the salt for boiled eggs. There are two good quality Aladdin toasters for toasting bread, one in a separate location, to ease congestion.Regarding the small toilet mentioned by others, it was indeed small. However, it's all you need, so if you want to sit comfortably, I think it's better to go to the toilet on the first floor.The hotel is located right next to the railroad tracks, so some people have complained that the train noise is noisy, but since it's a super local line, the schedule is good, with at least one train per hour, so I don't think it will be a problem. I will. We live in the same city and often cross railroad crossings while driving, but we only stop at railroad crossings a few times a year.I think this is a business hotel that has been created with a lot of thought put into it. It's true that there are some parts that are a bit shabby, but I felt that it was reasonably priced, comfortable, and had great benefits compared to hotels in nearby areas.I would like to stay there again.

January 2024: We used it at the union's New Year's party.If you are using a car, the connecting road from National Route 424 to the parking lot is a little narrow, but the parking lot is quite spacious and can be used free of charge by guests. As others have written, the size of the toilet seat is a bit of a concern, but the single room was a standard size, new, and clean.

I stayed on the 1st floor. I can hear the voices of other guests coming home late at night in the guest room, which bothers me. If possible, I would recommend staying on the 2nd floor or higher!

While there are only old business hotels in Tanabe City, a new business hotel has opened for the first time in a while. As a new hotel, it is fully equipped, clean and comfortable. There are two things that really surprised me.The toilet seat is surprisingly small. Not only women, but even standard men can't fit their butts into the toilet seat. Many foreigners came to visit Tanabe City to take part in the Kumano Kodo, a World Heritage Site, but it was not large enough for large foreigners to use.The other hotel is located next to the railroad tracks, but it lacks soundproofing. I woke up every time a train passed by. I thought the service was good because earplugs were distributed at the front desk, but now I understand why.Those are the only two things I'm concerned about, but other than that, this is the most comfortable hotel in Tanabe City.

We were only there one night. It was good for one night. The reason for only 4 stars was the breakfast and the rather small bathroom.

It is located along the railroad tracks, so it is recommended for railway enthusiasts.Breakfast is a light meal, but there is also a mini salad, which is enough for older ladies.
