It's quite far from the station.A shuttle bus will come to the station, so if you have a lot of luggage, it might be a good idea to use it.The hotel is old-fashioned and I was a little reluctant to take a bath, but it was well-cleaned and the view from the open-air bath was very nice.It was a good idea to plan a room facing the sea!It was truly a spectacular view, quiet and relaxing.The staff were also calm and made me feel comfortable.I chose the breakfast only plan, but there were many types of side dishes and they were all delicious.I would like to include dinner the next time I visit.It was a relaxing and refreshing trip.thank you very much.

2024/02/21This is the 7th inn in Kii Katsuura in the last six months♪It takes less than 30 minutes to walk slowly from the station.If you walk to the hotel on cloudy or rainy days, the lights in the tunnel in front of the hotel are off, and it's pitch black and quite scary ><;When you look at the tunnel side from the hotel entrance, you will see that it is surrounded by mountains on three sides.You can't see the tunnel directly, so it feels like the mountains are rushing towards you.When you pass through the hotel and go to the sea side, you can see mountains on the left and right, the sea in front, and Taiji Town in the back.Although prohibited at night, fishing is possible on the right side facing the sea (we recommend bringing your own fishing gear)A rocky shore about 2 meters deep, bait can be purchased from a nearby ferry.Float fishing, bukkake, and lures are suitable (I found chinook and mullet)The fishing port next door has plenty of fish and is about 4m deep.The problem is that you can see the fishing spot from the men's open-air bath.There are disposable indoor slippers, but there is no explanation about slippers for moving around the building.If you wear socks to the open-air bath in the rain, your feet will get wet, so it's important to wear slippers with bare feet.I would like to have a place to store wet umbrellas and slippers for my feet.No place to dry umbrellas and slippersOn the day of the stay, there were not many guests, and the restaurant had 4 people in 2 groups for dinner and 7 people in 4 groups for breakfast, so it was comfortable to pass by other guests even in the hot spring (2 days later, it was almost full)An inn where the futon is laid out first.There is no alcohol in the vending machines, so you can only purchase at the front desk.There are only middle-aged and elderly staff, and although the customer service from the upper management is excellent, the restaurant staff and front desk staff are unable to smile and are expressionless, unnecessarily lowering the review rating.There are only tall staff, but they don't give oversized yukatas to taller customers, and they don't care at all.The transportation to and from the station was so fast and rough that you wouldn't believe it was carrying passengers.After the coronavirus pandemic, only the most talented staff are left at each hotel, but this one is so understaffed that they are only hiring Japanese people who can understand Japanese.There wasn't much white rice for dinner, and even if I asked for a refill, it was still too little.There is no amberjack sashimi in the menu, but there is no explanation and there is no alternative sashimi.There was only one staff member at the dinner venue where there were only two groups of four people, and the staff always hid in the shadows and never came out.For breakfast, even though there were only 4 sets of bread and 7 people, even if I told them to replenish it, they would not replenish any more than the 5 pieces that were set at the beginning.You should find out whether that middle-aged female staff member is leaving the rice, bread, and side dishes to her.I would recommend looking for young staff who can smile and are charming.

After check-in, guests will be able to move around the hotel using the disposable slippers provided in their rooms.To avoid confusing your slippers with someone else's, a magic trick is provided in your room to write your name on your slippers.The hotel's official website states that the open-air bath cannot be used in the morning, but at check-in we were informed that it could be used in the morning as well.To get to the open-air bath, you need to pass through an outdoor path, but sandals and umbrellas are available for rental.The changing room has lockers with keys and hair dryers.The bathroom has three washing areas, with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.The large indoor bath also has a locker with a lock and a hair dryer in the changing room.WiFi is available in the guest room, but the password listed in the WiFi usage guide provided in the guest room seems to be different from the password actually set (I deleted one character and was able to connect).The TV in the guest room can only be used for terrestrial TV. BS cannot be viewed.Also, there are not many electrical outlets that can be freely used in the guest rooms, so it may be a good idea to bring a charging tap with you.

I stayed there for two nights at the end of last year. (Morning and dinner included)The building and rooms certainly felt old, but they were well maintained.The hot springs have a sulfur smell, but it's not that strong.The smell does not transfer to your hair, and there is a washing area in the open-air bath.The food is perfect.It might not be enough for men, but it's just the right amount to eat, so you won't be too full to move.We had the same meal plan for consecutive nights, but the same menu was never served, so it wasn't a problem.The rice was really delicious.There are many types of dishes for both dinner and breakfast, so chopsticks are recommended.I would like to stay there again.

The building itself has the feel of a Showa-era hotel/ryokan, so it's not at all flashy, but it was well kept and clean. The staff worked hard to welcome customers and I felt like they were there. The baths were nice, especially the open-air bath at the very back, and the food was delicious in a restaurant with a nice view that looked like a private cove.I stayed there as a sightseeing bus driver, and from that perspective I would give it 5 stars. Thank you very much for your help during this time. Next time, I would like to go there in private as well. The tunnel in front of me was a little scary at first😁😁 For a moment I thought I had taken the wrong path.But if you go to Nachikatsuura, Nagisaya might be a hidden gem.However, the convenience store is far from the hotel, so if you need anything, it's best to buy it before you arrive at the hotel.

It's neither good nor bad, but I'm just not satisfied with it considering the price.There are steps all over the room.People living in modern barrier-free housing are prone to tripping or falling on steps if they are not careful.I also hit my toe on the step in the threshold and it bled.Meals are served in the large hall.There were several types of tuna sashimi, but it was a mystery as to what kind of tuna it was (lol).The hot springs are lukewarm and do not warm up easily.You have to walk quite a bit to get to the open-air bath, so if the weather is bad you might not feel like going.

I can't deny that the building and rooms are old, but the price was reasonable so I was very satisfied. The location is facing a hidden cove, and there's nothing around, but it's far from the hustle and bustle, so that's a good thing. Also, there is an open-air bath in a separate area from the large bath, and it is alkaline? Thanks to the quality of the spring water, my skin also became smooth. All meals were served in a large hall, and the customer service from the staff was also good.
