We had a great stay at sunny hostel. The host was so friendly and he made the best breakfastbaskets for us. You can choose between traditional japanese or more western and those meals were some of the best in my 1 month trip in japan! The host is such a good cook 👍🏼

A wonderful stay at Sunny Day!The rooms have a real industrial charm, they are clean and comfortable. The establishment is well located, close to the port for day trips, close to the train station, and close to the city center for eating or walking. The highlight: the owner is impeccably kind. You MUST enjoy the breakfast that he will prepare for you every morning, adapting his recipe according to your desires (but the best is to let him do it, this man is a real cook). If I have the chance, I will come back!

I was happy to be able to stay in a nicely decorated room for this price. There are many restaurants around, so it's nice to be able to walk around drinking at night. It was difficult because the door was poorly installed and because it was slightly raised, I had to make sure I didn't get too uncomfortable.

There were no other travelers checking in that day. The five of us lived on the second and third floors. It was a private room. The boss allowed us to use the backpacking room with four beds on the third floor. The walkway in the room was very small, but there was only room for two people. It's pretty good to use. If there are four people, you will have to walk sideways. There is a small platform living room in the room, where four people can chat and eat together in this small area. The room design is very distinctive, not the ordinary up and down The room type is bunk, with three beds at the bottom. Each bed has to climb a 2-meter-long staircase. The partitions are made of cheap wooden boards, but the beds are higher, so it doesn’t feel like a backpacker room is suffocating. It has an industrial style, and The North African arch has a sense of mystery, but if you spend a little more money on decoration, it can be more high-end. The trash can in the room is large, which is good. The three private rooms on the second floor are also very special. Unfortunately, the door locks of each room are broken. Fortunately, the three of them are on their own, so there are no safety concerns. They also have the privacy of their own room. It is a good choice. . There is breakfast available for reservation, but I didn’t see it when I made the reservation, so I didn’t order breakfast. The service staff is “Gou”. He speaks good English and is very enthusiastic and friendly. You need to use a password to enter and exit the door, and there is also a set of passwords to enter and exit the room, which is safe. He is very friendly, and you can contact him by email or phone when he gets off work at night. There is no one at the counter at night. I stayed here because I had to take a flight the next day, and there are more choices for souvenirs in the city center. This hotel is not designed with much personal ingenuity. It is recommended to book a room for 7-9 people.

Use the cafe. The food is delicious. Since it's a cafe attached to an inn, it can't be helped, but there are only counter seats, so it's a little uncomfortable. However, the people at the store are very friendly and cheerful. This brightness also offsets the difficulty of entering.

The staff service will turn to be really bad when it comes to the check out day.I stayed 5 days in this hostel, before I booked the room I’ve let them know I will do remote work in the free space during the stay.(even on the last day)They treated me really warmly on the very first day but the last day experience was AWFUL!!I checked out on time before 10:00am, no one was at the lobby, which was fine. Since I needed to start remote work, I picked up a seat and started my meeting, also waiting for my flight in the evening. There was a cleaning company visiting when no staff was there in the lobby so I helped to answer the door for the hustle, which was still totally fine.Later on (can’t remember what time was it), there came a female staff, telling me I should move my seat to the very corner place, so they can serve “their customers”.(The attitude was like ever since I checked out, I’m not their customer anymore.)I apologized for the inconvenience and moved right away according her instruction. In the evening, the female staff passed a post it to me, right in the middle of my meeting, saying “申し訳ございませんが、もうそろそろ出てもらっていいですか?” Which means “Sorry, would you please get out any minutes now?”Well, the service really frustrated me. I’ve never experienced this at any other hustles(in Japan or other countries). It’s so rude that to be passed a post-it writing that content when I was proceeded a important meeting…The room was good, other staff and the owner did warmly welcome us during the stay. But I think the last day experience ruined everything.Advice for guests who considering to stay in this hustle, maybe it’s better to get out as soon as possible once checked out. Any minutes you stayed in the lobby, even the reason is because you need to wait for the flight, will be regarded as disturbing.

The cafe was closed for the year-end and New Year holidays, but we had Koya on the 3rd floor all to ourselves and it was comfortable. There is a map with photos on the first floor of the lounge/reception area, and the staff will show you where to find open shops. It was made of concrete so it was a bit inorganic and cold, but the location and the solid breakfast set were good. Wi-Fi is available, and a password is required for both the entrance door and the room door. There is a refrigerator.
