They didn't inform that checkout is at 10am (usually all checkouts in Japan are at 11am) and they charged 1000 yen extra just for 15 mins (I checked out at 10:15).

Although it cannot be denied that the facility is old, it was well-cleaned and comfortable to use.In particular, I chose pork shabu, and it was very delicious.I would also like to use this hotel when choosing an accommodation near Lake Kawaguchi.Thank you very much 😉

Plan to stay overnight in a non-smoking Japanese double room without mealsIt cannot be helped that the facility itself is old and has deteriorated in places. However, what do you think about the moldy curtains and spider egg sacs left in the corners of the ceiling?Looking at other people's reviews, you can see thatExpensive plans such as those with open-air baths are solid, butRooms with cheap plans such as rooms without meals are often cut corners. My personal impression is, "I think it's okay next time."

I really love staying at this hotel. The room has big size and traditional design. A foreigner should be happy with this room. The hotel has an onsen too. Don’t miss to feel it.I choose room with dinner, and the dinner was sooo good. The portion are big too.The breakfast has japanese style.Well, the location is little far from Kawaguchiko station but the hotel has amazing view with Fuji mountain. Not too far from the hotel, there is Oike Park.

If you don't mind walking Abit, and expect them not to under English at all it's a good place to stay as I love their wooden bathtub facing Mt Fuji view. Rooms are old but acceptable and the rooftop area is a spot on spot for Mt Fuji! Since I have stayed in two hotels during this trip this is better than la Vista and half the price! I have asked the staff (use a translator type in Japanese it's easier for them) to help me book in advance- "tanpopo" right next door for dinner. So dinner wasn't a problem if you plan your trip.

Overall okay. Older staff friendly enough; young staff rudest person I've met in Japan. Cleaner walked in when I was in the shower, shower curtain mouldy, older male cleaner sitting on corridor smoking like a chimney... and no option to leave your bag... which considering the price for two nights is a bit..... well. Located close to lake and we paid for mountain view room. Just a shame about the staff.
