Good pleace to do camping but it's not prepared well with facilities.
I went here twice. Last time they added one washlet per mains toilets that I think it's a good improvemnt!

I think it's a good campsite, but all the sites on the lakeside are a little sloped. I don't know about the mountain side. Water facilities, including toilets, are only on the mountain side, so small children should be careful when going to the toilet from the lakeside site.Also, I think they will deal with it in the future, but there were wasp nests above the heads of C-1 and 2 sites. (I have reported it to the administrator) There was no actual damage.

The lakeside site is popular and reservations are prioritized. There are only a few sites on the mountain side, and they are located next to the parking lot of the facility next door, so they are not very popular. The mountain side site is a grassy area, so there are many insects in the summer.

It was the worst camping experience ever between the two groups: the children of Family Group Camp who were noisy until almost 11pm, and the parents of another group who continued to talk loudly until almost 11pm even when it had calmed down. I couldn't bear it past 0:00 and went to be careful for the first time in my camping life. No caretaker visits, abandoned. And the wind is strong. The toilet is far away. I won't go there again.

Lake Saiko is beautiful along the lakeside.You can only see a little bit of the top of Mt. Fuji.The kitchen has hot water, making washing dishes easy. The restrooms are clean and have washlets, which is rare at a campsite.

There are auto campgrounds on the lakeside and mountain sides across Route 21. It seemed like there were only kitchens and restrooms on the mountain side. I was only able to reserve a tent site on the mountain side, but it was a good decision. I have small children, so it's nice to have a restroom nearby. The toilets are also very clean.Although it was during Golden Week, the wind was a little strong. Since the lake is surrounded by mountains, you can only see the top of Mt. Fuji. Compared to the other Fuji Five Lakes, Lake Saiko seemed relatively empty and felt like a hidden gem.

Site is slanted but pretty good location campingThe toilet is a little farThere were people sleeping in their cars by the lake with their engines running from midnight until morning, and the engine noise was a nuisance.There are no patrols and it seems like there is a sense of freedom, so it could become a lawless area.

Thank you for accepting us even though we made a last-minute reservation two days in advance!I couldn't go to the lakeside site due to an event, so I had to go to a tent site on the mountain side, but the site was big enough to pitch two solo two-room tents, and the scenery was great, so I had the best camping experience♪People from various countries came and it was lively, but the manager kept a close watch on us and we didn't have any problems.I missed the timing to use the shower this time, so I will postpone it to the next time along with the lakeside site!Wild deer come wandering from the mountain next to the hotel at night, so you'll be lucky if you encounter them!There is a delicious Western restaurant within walking distance, so please come! ︎

Used during Golden Week.A group of old men had left their camping gear in the kitchen and occupied it, so I couldn't get close to it.It was a very rainy day, so the kitchen, which was supposed to be used as a shelter, turned into a noisy pub for old men, causing a huge nuisance.The site was on the mountain side, but it was extremely narrow with just one tarp and one car.I felt that 4000 yen for 2 adults and a car was expensive.It was a painful night because of a group of old men with bad manners.

December to March? I heard that the area was closed during the winter months due to either frozen roads or winter traffic closures. The washing area is on the other side of the road. Paid shower available. I own a place where I can take a bath nearby. It's hard to tell the area, but I like the scenery, so if I want to camp by the lake, I'd like to come here again.

Although it is along the road, it is quiet at night and you can pitch your tent close to the lake. The campsite is a little inconvenient as the kitchen is across the road. Even after 9pm, the toilet is across the street. People with children should be careful when crossing.

Used in February 2021.◆1500 yen per adult. 1000 yen per car.◆Trash will be disposed of if you purchase a special bag.◆The toilet is about a 200m walk from the lakeside to the end across the road.There is one priority toilet in the men's restroom (with toilet seat heater and hot water)The women's toilet has a mysterious design with no toilet seat heater or washlet...◆There is a shower facility although I did not use it this time.◆The washing area is large and very good (no hot water)The site has sandy soil, a slight slope, and depending on the season, typhoon-like winds blow down.The circus TC, which was set up with 20cm pegs, collapsed due to the wind. The surrounding dome-shaped structure had also collapsed. I managed to hold on by rebuilding it with 30cm pegs, but it was far from camping.Some people gave up and went home.*Please take a look at the video uploaded to see the strong winds.Good location for a campsite. You can only see the tip of Mt. Fuji. I think the price is a little high, but overall I think it's a good place.

2020/10 weekday visit. Visited with one bike. I aimed for the Saiko Freedom Campsite but was turned down and this is what I was introduced to. Instead of the mountain side where the cottages are lined up, the lakeside side across the road is used for day camping. Unlike other lakes, there are no jet skis and you can enjoy a quiet view of West Lake. Only the head of Mt. Fuji could be seen on the other side of the mountain.

An unexpectedly comfortable little secret spotI used it for one night from October 24, 2020. With the camping boom, everywhere is full, and the free campsite I was hoping for turned out to be an unexpected failure. I was worried about what to do, and when I jumped in, it turned out to be OK. The lakeside site was full and we ended up with a forest site, but it was surprisingly nice. At first I thought it had to be by the lake, but it's spacious, relaxing, close to restrooms and water, and surprisingly quiet.It's a section site, but it's almost free. We went with 3 people and pitched 3 tents so it didn't feel cramped at all. Although I could only see a little of Mt. Fuji, I found a nice spot in a little-known place.
