Way too expensive for what it offers. We stayed in a bungalow, pretty old and smelly.Facilities are dirty and you have to pay for shower. There's also no wifi.Location is the only good point.

The first time I used it was about 40 years ago...It's a traditional campground that hasn't changed much.Close to the entrance of Fuji Subaru LineSituation in a forest by a lakePersonally, I would recommend visiting by bicycle during a nice season outside of Japan's long holidays. In most cases, you can rent out the campsite.Sometimes there are so many cyclists from all over the world that it feels like we are overseas. With the recent camping boom, is this a hotel? There are many campsites that are of such high standard that you would think thatThat's right, the campgrounds of the Showa era were like this, close to nature, and the users could spend their time quietly...I can't help but feel nostalgic.Well, these days I don't pitch a tent, I don't make curry, I don't climb the Subaru line.Although it is only for soft use...

I went on a Saturday and Sunday in early July, when the expected temperature was 35 degrees. As expected, the forest is very pleasant. It was so humid that I thought Tokyo's 35 degrees was 41 degrees, and I was impressed by the difference in the clouds.I got lost trying to find the entrance because I couldn't find a detailed map on Google Maps or my car navigation system. If you wander around the area, you'll find 3 or 4 entrances. The woman in charge is kind and will teach you anything you don't understand. The vending machine mentioned in other reviews was gone.Be careful as long-legged bees were flickering around. If you are near the nest or collecting honey, they will fly as a warning.Perhaps because it was before summer vacation, there were not many people in the bungalow and it was very comfortable. The area where we set up our tents was quite crowded.I stayed in a 10 tatami bungalow. The room has tatami mats, a TV, electric fan, a medium-sized refrigerator (with a freezer), about 10 clothes hangers, one broom for outside and one for indoor use, a closet, and a screen door. There was a fine mesh screen, but very small insects were always coming in, so I had to sleep with the window closed, but thanks to the fan, it wasn't too hot. It's an old campground, so the tatami mats are fluffy and there are spider webs everywhere, but the area you spend time in feels like it's been well-kept with brooms, so it's adequate.Outside is a covered terrace. Comes with table, chairs and lighting. The table was made of wood, and unlike other reviews, there were no instructions for using an open fire, so I put a heat-resistant table and heat-resistant sheet on top of the wooden table and had my own small tabletop barbecue. There were scorch marks all over the place, so I guess it's OK to use an open flame, but I didn't want to go and ask (^_^;)Another review said that it is OK to leave used charcoal alone, but this was not explained, so I looked for it and found a charcoal dump near a water source, so I disposed of it there. There is a water station with potable water for cooking, a water station for ash disposal, and a water station for washing your face and hands with hand soap in front of the toilets. There is also one coin laundry.

I made a same-day reservation during Golden Week!I went with a camper van, so I camped at an auto site.If you enter from the entrance on the private house side that the navigation guide guides you to, you will have to go down a steep slope, so if you are going by a camper, I thought it would be better to wait for your car on the Kawaguchiko side and only check in with people.Although the facility is old, the toilets are Western-style and clean. You can also throw away trash ⭕️Also, Lake Kawaguchi is right in front of you, and you can walk to tourist spots, so the location is great 👍
