This is an inn with Mt. Fuji in the background and Lake Shoji in front of you.Starting at 8,500 yen including dinner and breakfast, it's cheap. One night stay is 6,500 yen including breakfast, and elementary school students will receive a 70% discount. There is also an open deck where you can enjoy coffee even if you are not a guest, so you can enjoy a relaxing view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Shoji. I didn't stay there, so I haven't given it a star. What about the angle of the building? If you stand by the window, you can see Mt. Fuji from your room, but if you sit at a low table, can you just barely see it on the left?

There are some inns and beautiful pensions with hot springs nearby, but they are quite expensive. It's rustic and there are no fancy hot springs, but you can stay freely and cheaply, and the food is gorgeous, but there are plenty of local dishes. You can also see Mt. Fuji from the room. I feel some kind of warmth. A great place to stay while fishing.

The cherry blossoms are really late and dark pink at Shojiko Lake 🤩 if you missed them in Tokyo you still have a chance for nice pictures here! Stayed at FujimiSou ♨️ Ryokan right in front of the lake, though you have to bend over the balcony to see Mount 🗻 Fuji, which is still very helpful to know the view 🌞 🌨️ ☁️ before getting your gear and descending to do the 📸 paparazzi part. Very clean and large room, the toilet was state of the art opening itself 🚽 and emanating blue laser beams 😂. This hotel is specialized for 🐟 fishermen and it is them who are renting the 🛶🚣 boats and anything fishing🎣 gear that you might want to use with the lake. And they even have hot spring but they do not advertise it 🤐🤫 so it was a pleasant surprise for us! There's a fridge on the sun-veranda, we brought our own breakfast & dinner & 🍺 drinks to enjoy sitting there. Yamadaya Hotel my favorite on Shoji Lake, the one with the rooftop hot spring and Fuji view was sold out (of course, when isn't it) so it was immensely helpful to be (the only😝customers) at the next hotel in same environment and just a tad lower priced. The old lady and the fisherman dad owners are very cute, immediately replaced our room heater when it appeared not to work. The reception staff is a bit slow but it was a great stay all in all. They offer dinner and breakfast 🐟 but we skipped it. They have the restaurant that is open for lunch with a cute outdoors garden in bloom and views on Fuji, ate there many times on different occasions and was ok. The rooms at FujimiSou were much, much nicer than we expected and the new toilet, the secret hot spring were a nice and pleasant surprise! Wishing we knew years earlier that things are so nice at FujimiSou and not only Yamadaya.

There are spiders in the bath, so you can experience nature firsthand.Another appeal is that the hamburger steak comes out harder than disposable chopsticks. As you can see from the outside, the room is old-fashioned and sometimes you can't stop sneezing.

It is located right in front of Lake Shojiko, one of the Fuji Five Lakes (in this case, it is pronounced ``Shojiko''. It is not ``Shojinko'' (^^)).I stayed at Lake Kawaguchi and took a drive to Lake Shoji, but it was very quiet with only a few anglers around the lake and about 10 Westerners waiting for the bus at the bus stop. There was a coffee shop on the 1st floor, so I had some coffee. It's not as lively as Lake Yamanaka or Lake Kawaguchi, but it also gave me a calm, non-commercial atmosphere. This is also the place where I realized that the impression of Mt. Fuji changes depending on where you look at it. In a good way, of course.
