Great family run business. Very informative of the area and the history. The hosts were both so welcoming and made sure that all of our needs were met. Strongly recommend staying here if you are in the area.It made a great base for us as a starting point for climbing Mount Fuji from the base.Close to convenience stores and the local train and bus station were all within a short walk.

Perfect place to stay before a Mt. Fuji hike! Lovely renovated 450 year old guesthouse which originally served as a place to stay for Fuji-ko on their spiritual pilgrimage to summit Mt. Fuji. Beautiful historical items on display. Natsuki explained the history and rituals of the Oshi prayer masters and Fuji-ko pilgrims.

We stayed in the guest house for two nights. The house was very nice with an impressive history. Unfortunately, we did not find the service and hospitality adequate for the price (6000 yen per person per night). We have been traveling in Japan for 4 weeks and in comparison this guest house offered the worst value for money so far. Next time we would look at an onshi guesthouse just to visit and then stay somewhere else overnight.Dear hosts, to live up to your price, we feel that a few tea bags, cups instead of glasses for tea, free towels and a place to store luggage would be appropriate (we did not receive the offer to store luggage outside the door as appropriate).

Highly recommended if you are staying in Fujiyoshida.I was able to deeply understand what the Japanese people of the past felt about Mt. Fuji. The host couple are the 18th generation of the family of Oshi (a priest who is a leader of the Mt. Fuji faith and who prays for believers, guides them, and takes care of worship and lodging). He values the Oshi culture very much,He explained in detail. If you stay here and go up to Mt. Fuji, I feel like you can grow even more as a person.

This is the master's house that has lasted for over 400 years. The inside has been beautifully renovated, but good parts such as the pillars remain, allowing you to remember the old days.Currently, only the guesthouse and cafe are open, so you can't eat there, but the host was very kind and we had a great time.
