Stayed here during off peak season. It seems they are supposed to be closed during off peak as they mainly cater for winter, but somehow our online booking went through. There was literally no one else staying at this accommodation except for us, but the owner accommodated us anyway and prepared breakfast for us daily 🥺Comfortable stay, bathroom and toilet are shared. There is a second storey too, so be careful if you have heavy luggages.Location is pretty good and central.Definitely a more affordable option than Ski resorts during winter (though I can't comment on the heat insulation as I didn't stay during winter)They operate like rental houses, so don't be alarmed by "cleaning fee" if you request for room cleaning. This is a common practice for rented places in Japan.Somehow one of the most memorable thing here is the simple but delicious breakfast 😅

A guesthouse run by a Chinese couple.Check-in wasn't smooth. I can't understand Japanese, I can't understand half of what I say in English, and I don't know what to do since I'm speaking in Chinese. After checking in, I was assigned a locker and a bed, but I wasn't given any specific explanation, so I just looked at the rules and explanations posted in various places and used them as I could.I think it's the best that they provide a shuttle to Hirafu Central Bus Center at 8:10 in the morning. Please note that there is a limit of 10 people on a first-come, first-served basis. You can grill toast for breakfast.Because the lockers can be swung up and down, we were able to use them comfortably even if we had a lot of luggage. The bed was an ordinary bunk bed, had a personal light and outlet, and the bedding was clean and warm. It's located in an awkward place from Kutchan Station, so it's not a good idea to get there. The nearest bus stop is located on the main street, a 5-minute walk away.

This place should only be open in winter.I stayed there on a midsummer day, but there was no air conditioning. There is also no electric fan. There was no screen to open the window. However, due to the irresistible heat, I slept with the windows and door of my room fully open.

Might be good if you stay in winter. Beautiful medashi. However, we stayed there in the middle of summer, and there were no circulators or fans available for rent (even if you inquired, you weren't Japanese, so it wouldn't be helpful). There is no screen door, and there are bushes outside, so it feels like mosquitoes can come in and out, so I can't open the windows.I wonder what era there is in the shared space? There is a water supply, and of course there is no air conditioner there either. It's fine for sightseeing, but staying here for work would be hell.Seriously, if you're someone who can handle the heat as much as you like, you can. I couldn't do it! lolThere's nothing nearby
