Spent a night glamping with my wife and two young kids. Great place! The tents were nicer, cleaner, and more spacious than most similarly priced hotel rooms. Didn’t need to take anything with us except food, but I think they can arrange that too. Definitely took all the hassle out of doing a one-night only camp. Very kid friendly, and the host was super helpful. Will definitely go back.

We visited 2weeks ago and stayed 2 nights to celebrate a birthday while we travelled for a month in Hokkaido. We were made to feel very welcome and all our enquires were responded to quickly. We chose to have a room in The Lakehouse …but there was a glamping option as well. We had our own bikes ..but very good EBikes were available for hire as were all sorts of water craft. The meals we chose were prepped and presented beautifully for us to have at a time of our choosing. The interaction with other guests during meals was wonderful. Breakfast was also delicious and personalised. The setting is superb and we absolutely loved the bike ride around stunning Lake Toya and swimming in the crystal clear water.Jonny and Iyuiko are wonderful hosts and they are rightfully proud of the property. We can highly recommend a stay here! In summer and Autumn the surrounding forests are a delight and in winter it is a great base for skiing at Rusutzu Resort.

Great spot for summer. Camp, stay, now also glamping. Direct access to water. A great host of activities possible with rental from the property itself (SUP, canoe, bikes). Went there for glamping but also booked a room just in case it rained. Great room but barely used it as the weather was great and the glamping tent was very luxurious. Very sturdy too.. probably would stand a typhoon.

The large spaces give the Lakehouse a real sense of luxury. Really comfortable, amazing bedrooms, really well appointed kitchen. We loved every bit of the Lakehouse. I thoroughly recommend the Lakehouse. Great location and good value. A tough place to leave.

If you can speak English, you'll have a lot of fun!The location is good and it is highly recommended for playing around Lake Toya. You can rent a BBQ set for 5,000 yen. We also have a refrigerator, gas, electricity, water, and all kinds of tableware, so if you bring your own ingredients, you can enjoy your meal! However, since you can't watch TV, we recommend that you enjoy nature instead.

My wife and two kids (aged 3.5 years and 9 months) spent the weekend at The Lakehouse at Toyako.Coming from Sapporo, it is convenient and beautiful 2 hour drive. The Lakehouse is lovely, spacious and airy. The rooms are beautifully built out of cedar wood, giving it that outdoor, woodsy feeling. You can rent out a room or the whole house. Full kitchen facilities are available at an extra cost.We stayed in the Sakura room- loads of space (high ceilings, big windows, big bathroom with large bath and shower) - highly recommended. The Lake House is situated right next to the lake (with easy access to the water) and has the amenities you need- stand up paddle boards, canoes, bikes, 4X4, EtcJust as important as the actual facility itself are the owners- Jonny and Ayuko. They are friendly, fun, personable and accommodating,Thank you for a great stay that none of us will forget. See you on many future ocassions.Trip, Noako, Yuto, KentoSapporo

I cannot speak highly enough about this property and the experience we had when we stayed here. From the very beginning, the hosts were warm, welcoming and exceptionally friendly. They answered all of our questions promptly, offering recommendations and suggestions for the surrounding area and were more than willing to come and assist in grill setups and anything to improve our stay. The house itself was spectacular and had everything you could need: fully stocked-kitchen, ample space, a games room and a range of facilities available to rent: grills, SUPs, kayaks, etc.I stayed at the property with a group of friends and we were all left in complete awe over the entire experience. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for the most wonderful experience :)
