A beautiful and tranquil space!A one-night journey into the past with a friendly host in a private house renovated from a 100-year-old shopping street.♡It was a choice I had no regrets about.Access from Kyoto Station is also excellent.Be sure to make a reservation on the official site....

Currently staying here. The host, the service and the location are just amazing! It's a beautiful traditional house with all the comforts you need. Everything has English instructions, there is nothing the sweet host didn't think of. We got here a bit too early, but she happened to walk by and helped us get into the accomodation. She explained everything to us very patiently and recommended some good to-do options while we're here. We made a nice dinner in the kitchen and had a great sleep. 10/10, I recommend everyone to stay here while in Kyoto!

I was visiting Japan and Kyoto in April 2023. with my family. We were traveling from Croatia/Europe and stayed mainly in Tokyo and Kyoto. One of our goals was to feel Japanese tradition so we decided to sleep in Korakuan. It was a good decision because this old townhouse gave us a unique experience that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in reach Japanese culture and hospitality.Zen garden, tatami-matted floors, sliding shoji screens, and minimalist furnishings were a perfect reflection of traditional Japanese design. Our host Rika was incredibly attentive and helped us to find a way and ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.Overall, I would highly recommend staying in a traditional ryokan style in Kyoto with your family.

The traditional townhouse was exceptional. So beautiful, clean, and the garden lit up at night to accentuate the beautiful tree and plants. We were so happy here - the beds were so comfortable and it was a peaceful experience. The host Rika was sooo wonderful and went over and above for us, also helped us to book a couple of restaurants. It's a 10 minute walk to Nijo Station, and there are many restaurants nearby and a Family Mart only a 2min walk away. For an amazing culinary experience, try Youshin (¥5500 or ¥8000 pp for a dinner degustation plus drinks) - it was one of the best meals we've had and was recommended by the host! We were sad to leave! Xx

I went there with my friends and had a lot of fun staying at this lovely quaint inn. The four of us had a great time and felt like we were at home. It was also a great memory that the four of us went to a nearby bathhouse.
