I went there on a school trip, and it was great. Each person's reviews are different, but our school had a relatively small number of students, so we were able to use it comfortably. The school should also consider the number of students. The food was very delicious and the rice was free to refill, so I ended up refilling it many times lol.Photos of the first day's food were sent out, so I'll post them here.At my school, each room can fit 6 people, and the mattress can fit 6 people.Does the room have a toilet and bath? (Unknown because it was locked) The only thing I would like to say is that you can't adjust the electricity (you can't use it as a night light) and the ventilation fan is ridiculously noisy.I can sleep, but it's better to turn off the ventilation fan. The TV in my room was very small, but the TV in the room next door was big.The bathroom in the basement was relatively small, but I think it was very nice.It didn't have a musty smell.

This is a few minute walk from the metro and an optimal location for when you plan to visit for the Gion festival! Which is what we came for! There's a Starbucks and Shake Shack nearby but most importantly, the food stalls they setup for the 3 consecutive days prior to the Gion festival float parade! We would definitely come back! The staff were lovely and very helpful, despite having limited English (translator app will be your bestie). There is a public bath and they allowed me in with my 3x3 inch tattoo left uncovered! The only thing we didn't like was sleeping on futons as it was hard on our backs (we are spoiled with california king beds at home with a mattress topper). But hey, do as the Japanese does!

This is my impression when my child went on a school trip. When I researched the hotel in advance, I was worried because there were a lot of negative reviews, but I was told that the hotel was clean and the food was much better than the hotel I stayed at the previous day.Even on children's trips, they tend to be noisy at night and get warned by the hotel staff and lectured by their teachers, which is common on school trips. There seems to be a pattern. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the hotel staff.

I've been to many ryokans, but this is the first time I've experienced such a poor and expensive ryokan. The bathroom stinks, and the room has hair and unclean cleaning. There is mold in the bathroom, and there is a small size and a large bath in the basement, so the small size can't be used, so it stinks because it can't go in, and the big size doesn't come out of hot water, and only cold water comes out, so there's a reaction that I can't help it. It was a very disappointing place.
