It feels like a cute Western-style business hotel. The view of Nijo Castle from the window of the room was very nice, and above all, the staff at the front desk were very kind and polite, and gave us lots of information about sightseeing and shopping places. thank you very much.

Although the building is old, it was kept clean, and there was a sofa that could be used as an extra bed for twin beds, so it was spacious enough. It is also convenient that you can check in until 26:00. After work in Tokyo, I drove to Kyoto and managed to check in just in time. There is a parking lot at the hotel, but nearby coin parking lots cost around 1,500 yen for 24 hours, so it may be cheaper if you use it before and after your stay. There is a supermarket nearby, including Shizuya. When I arrived there using Google Maps, I saw a very nice hotel-like building lined with entasis-shaped columns, but it was actually a religious facility. Lion d'Or was a small, ordinary building next to it.
