It is a building with an atmosphere that looks like something out of a story or picture book. Although there are some parts where you can feel how many years have passed since it was built, it is an ``old-fashioned guesthouse'' that costs 8,000 yen per person, per night, and includes two meals. (As of June 2024)If you are looking for the functionality and comfort of a business hotel, or if you are looking for a new accommodation facility that is made of concrete, has part-time staff, and is fully air-conditioned and well-maintained, you probably won't be satisfied with this minshuku. . For those who don't like insects. The guest house is run by a husband and wife, and I felt that the person described in the reviews as ``mom'' ran most of the business. He has a refreshing and intelligent impression. There is a detached house from the main house, and I used one room on the second floor of the detached house. It is located in the northern part of Ishigaki Island, which is far away from the city and is full of greenery. If you accidentally leave a piece of paper or a bag with candy powder in your room, Arinko will come out.I stayed for 4 nights, and only once at night a gecko came into my room, and I opened the door to let it escape into the hallway, but I couldn't quite figure out where it had escaped to before I went to bed. The next morning, I found a dead gecko next to the door on the hallway side. Apparently it got caught in an open door. sorry. By the way, a gecko also appeared at another guesthouse on Ishigaki Island, so when I noticed it, I let it escape outside. Geckos are common.・Meals are served in the common area of the main building. Breakfast starts at 7:50 and dinner starts at 7:30. (I think there is about an hour difference in sunrise and sunset times from Tokyo.) Since the meeting time for diving was 8:10, breakfast was served from 7:30.・Only showers are available in the shared space. It seems that a bathtub was also used in the past. It was now a storage room. It's the end of the rainy season and it's too hot. All I had to do was take a cold shower. no problem.・Washing machines can be borrowed along with detergent. There is a drying area outside, but a clothesline and hangers are set inside the room. When I first saw it, I thought it was a bit aesthetically pleasing, but I ended up using it a lot. (I had brought a laundry rope, but it was unnecessary.)・A fee will be charged for air conditioning. It's 100 yen for 1 hour. You can put money in bulk. I was out diving during the day, so I used the air conditioner from the time I got back to my room in the evening until I woke up in the morning and got ready. About 1500 yen per day. The charge for the air conditioner is only 100 yen. You can exchange money. It's 8,000 yen for one night with two meals, so I think the paid air conditioning fee of 1,500 yen is reasonable. If it wasn't for a fee, I think there are many customers who would leave it on and go out. Is it okay to add unnecessary electricity costs to the accommodation price at private guesthouses? However, updating the equipment will also add to the accommodation price. The existing equipment is sufficient! The air conditioner was working fine.・Meals are home-cooked meals unique to a guesthouse. They carefully use local materials. It has a gentle taste. It was delicious every time. Alcohol is not available, so you will have to buy it at a store in town or nearby and bring it with you. Each separate room had a refrigerator.・There is a parking space where you can park your rental car. Renting a car is convenient for getting around the mid-northern area. (Because it is a remote island, there are not many buses, and there may be a long distance from the bus stop to the beach.)*Akaishi Beach is about 5-10 minutes walk.I spent four days at my own pace and comfortably at night with air conditioning. thank you very much! !Note: There were no mosquitoes in the room.I was bitten while eating at the main house. Well, I open and close the outside door all the time, so they end up coming in. They happen everywhere, so if you don't want to get bitten, just use insect repellent spray. In the roomThere was a vape mat, but I didn't have to use it.At the end, flowers were placed in a small place.I could feel my mother's hospitality and consideration.

As everyone else has commented, I'm grateful that there are still inns like this in Japan, with my mom's cooking, the wonderful main house, and the relaxing atmosphere that makes me feel like I'm back in my own country! Mom, please stay healthy forever! Thank you for the wonderful stay 😊 (The photo shows the inside of the main building entrance and breakfast)

All of the meals served by the host mother were delicious and filled my stomach, and I was also touched by her kindness, which made my heart feel full! I couldn't wait to see my mom again soon. I would like to go again♪The design of the main building is wonderful, and it's not only an old-fashioned Okinawan architecture, but also a modern version of an Okinawan house, as it takes in sunlight very well. There was a lot of greenery on the dirt floor we entered, and the garden had a warm atmosphere with trees and flowers, making it a really pleasant place both inside and outside the house.I stayed in a detached house. It looked like it was starting to get old, but there were some small shelves and other improvements that gave it the impression that it was old but kept in good condition. The location is in the countryside of a southern island, so of course there are times when there are tiny ants walking around on the floor or desk, and even though it was the end of February, mosquitoes have started flying around, and the yarloo that protects the house is chirping, so we coexist. That is because you are visiting such a place, so if that is not possible, I think it would be better to go to a more modern area.I think it's the best environment to experience nature, touch people's hearts, and receive wisdom and tips for living from mothers and fathers who are very senior to me.I had dinner and breakfast with several groups of people staying there, and they were all wonderful people. It doesn't seem to be posted on the hotel website, etc. (and there are no plans to post it in the future), but I thought that the mother's personality would attract such people. Please make a reservation by phone.(I think it's easier to connect around 8:00pm after dinner)[Photo] Benaikan is in full bloom at the end of February! It's a puff-like flower. When you enter the entrance, you will see a Shisa with a humorous expression. The branches of various trees outside were lovely. The garden is surrounded by meadows, giving it an open feel.*For 2 or more people, 7,500 yen per person (breakfast and dinner included) Payment must be made in cash only.*This is a shower room that can fit 2 to 4 people (parents and children) (as the hot water tank is far away, it is necessary to turn on the shower at the highest temperature setting, wait for a while, and then set the temperature to the desired temperature after the hot water comes out)*Connected to Rakuten Mobile (I can use it as an access point to work on my PC)*I gave the room a 4 star because it was easy to hear sounds from above, below, and next door, but I gave it a 5 star because I was very satisfied overall.*The mothers are elderly, so if you want to talk to them, please do so in a slightly louder voice (they are very intelligent, and there were times when they taught us things in an orderly manner and spoke passionately).*There were no ants in the food as mentioned in ☆1 and 2 elsewhere, and the kitchen was so clean that it was impossible for such a thing to happen. Isn't this a hateful post from a colleague? (It's no wonder I'm jealous, it was so good, and I would like to come here again.)

I stayed here in mid-April 2022. I used it during a road bike trip around Ishigaki Island. The space felt like an old folk house and had a sense of freedom, which was very comfortable. There were 2 women and 2 men staying that day. The owner's wife and husband all enjoyed the home-cooked meal, which was delicious, plentiful, and very satisfying. The mozuku I bought as a souvenir had a strong flavor and my wife praised it as delicious.

I have stayed here nearly 10 times so far.As everyone has said, mom's food is simply exquisite! ️It feels like coming back to grandma's house...It can be said that the personalities of the father and mother here are all reflected in this inn. It's a super comfortable inn that you'll want to come back to again and again. When there are no clouds and there is a new moon, you can see the starry sky, the Milky Way, and if you are lucky you can even see a shooting star🌠 from inside your room! (It may not always be visible depending on the room you stay in and the time of year...)You can see stars as big as those on remote islands!*As this is a place rich in nature, insects and geckos also coexist. I think people who like nature and don't have to worry about small details will like it.This is the best accommodation for those who want to have fun, including various happenings ☆☆☆
