The shop owner is very funny and kind. He also told me a lot of interesting sightseeing spots in Aokihara Jukai, and the living environment is very comfortable. If I have the next opportunity, I will come here again.

Had a great time star gazing and mountain hiking in Saiko, which is about 3 hours by train from Tokyo station. It was great to get out of the city and enjoy the beautiful Japanese countryside. Stayed one night, viewed the stars the night of our arrival, stayed overnight in a comfortable hotel and hiked up a small mountain that was Mt. Fuji adjacent the next day.At the hotel it was easy to see straight off that the owner slash tour guide had a passion for star viewing. He had a wide range of telescopes, tripods, and a planetarium. I knew at that point that we were in for a special experience. The hotel looked new, very clean and comfortable. The beds were futons in a tatami room, a traditional Japanese styled room. I had no problem sleeping on them, but I think futons wouldn’t suit everyone, so be aware of that.He drove us out to a small mountain and we hiked a short distance to where we could view the stars. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the stars and planets. I was never able to spot Mars in the sky before, but he was able to easily point it out for me with help of his laser pointer. He also had a telescope and binoculars to enhance our star viewing and an excellent camera so we could get some fantastic shots. The night we went up was very cold, so I suggest you dress up warmly. On our hiking excursion the next day we climbed a small tree covered mountain that was near Mount Fuji. It was such a beautiful mountain especially because it was also covered with snow. The snow made it a bit difficult to climb though, so I recommend wearing a good pair of hiking boots. Once you reach the top of the mountain, your reward is a wonderful view of the magnificent Mt. Fuji, which can be seen in all its glory from the other side of the mountain.I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants a break from Tokyo city life. Even if you’re not an avid star watcher, you can still enjoy the beauty and get some amazing pictures of yourself with the stars. The hiking is a great opportunity to get some fresh air and enjoy the splendour of the Japanese countryside. I really want to do this trip again. We went in Spring, so I would like to see the stars in the winter or in the summer when apparently, they’re particularly gorgeous. Also, to see the view when the cherry blossoms are blooming or when the leaves are changing must be wonderful.

A guest house and cafe with a nice mix of Showa retro and fashionable imported items from the time. Free yourself from daily fatigue and the hassles of the city. The stars and the mountains were both great! It's a relaxing spot where the water and air feel clean. There is a pleasant owner who is always attentive. Although the ceiling is a little low for foreigners, it is a wonderful tour and accommodation that anyone can enjoy.

Thank you very much for your help in that section.I used the hotel in the name of [Annie (brother)] as a pre-night accommodation for the FSW motorcycle event. As Mr. Sentatsu in the review section also said, I think it all comes down to the personality of Mr. Kaneko, the master. Thanks to his help, I was able to enjoy ``delicious full stomach, bath, and sleep.'' Mr. Master is very knowledgeable not only about two and four wheels, but also about the stars, so the next time you stay, I'd like to make a joke of ``touring under the starry sky'' on a forest road (lol).

This time, I was looking for a place to stay around Lake Saiko to see the starry sky with a friend, and I saw Juri-an's Star Tours, and it was cheap, so I decided to use it.Mr. Kaneko, a kind and quirky master, treated us very well, and even taught us about stars and planets at the planetarium in the inn.The master checked the cloud information and took us on a star tour at the time when we could see the stars best. From my impressions, it was great!I'm going to climb a few mountains, but I don't usually climb mountains, so it was a little scary to be in the dark.It took us about 10 minutes to reach the top of the mountain, but from there we could see a sky full of stars that was incomparable to the stars we usually see in cities. The master brought us a telescope and explained and showed us the planets and stars, which was a truly moving experience! For the first time in my life, I was able to see a starry sky with the Milky Way flowing through it!The view of Mt. Fuji at night was also fantastic and I was always impressed.I would definitely use it again.

We stayed at a guesthouse (Juri-an), which is a 5-6 minute walk from Bat Cave. It seems that they started operating again in August of this year. The inn was clean and had a nostalgic Showa atmosphere.
