Since SNS is prohibited, I will leave the image reference to others. The Japaneseness and commonerness are expressed at their best. The fact that several groups of foreigners are staying here proves this.

I traveled alone and used it for an overnight stay. It was cheap compared to nearby prices. Personally, I have a good impression of the inn as it has aged well in a good way. I think the cleaning was thorough. Parking is available even before check-in.

Fantastic little ryokan with the sweetest owners that were very accommodating and interested in what our plans were during our stay. The rooms are fairly small but very comfortable, with comfortable futons and a fridge/TV/AC/fan. A little bit dated but very homely. The baths are FANTASTIC, and although I was worried about the communal bathing as a person with tattoos, it wasn’t an issue at all. No private bathing, but the two communal baths rotate between M/F daily. I didn’t realize that each had a little outdoor bath too which was very nice in the cold November air. They do lock the doors at 11pm, but seeing as there isn’t that much open that late anyways, it wasn’t an issue. They provide complimentary yukata for men and women, and the men’s yukata, despite being an L, fit my XL husband quite nicely.I wish we could have stayed here for the rest of our trip because of how lovely it has been.
