It will be available for Obon in August 2024. Last year, we were unable to go due to the typhoon, and before that, due to the coronavirus pandemic, even if we were able to make reservations in advance, we were turned down at the last minute due to the declaration of a state of emergency and restrictions on people coming in from outside the prefecture, so the campsite felt even further away than it was. After several years, I was finally able to hang it.The vast campground feels like it climbs up a slope the farther you go from the administration building, and the higher you go, the more private and quiet the environment becomes. Suitable for soloists and those who want to relax and play.On the other hand, the area from the administration building to the middle is popular with families, and you can always hear parents and children having fun around the river that runs through the grounds. However, the manners of all visitors were good, and there were no sites that were making noise after 10 p.m.As other people have reported, the toilets (washlets), garbage disposal rules, and cleaning are well maintained.[Impressive precautions for camping sites]When checking in, please do not park your car next to the removal site and wait for a long time or ask questions such as "Are you here yet?" or "Is this place available?" Since it's a free site, it can't be helped that a good location is the goal, but it seems like this has been the source of constant trouble.Indeed, there were many people who leisurely vacated their rooms until the check-out time of 12:00 or a little after. However, I don't want to have to rearrange everything again after I get home, so I wait for the curtains to dry and then carefully put away the tools, which takes time to remove. It was a good rule to be able to calmly clean up when I was in the opposite position.Another is that anything that makes noise, including radios, is prohibited. To be honest, this was difficult for me personally. I looked forward to listening to jazz on the radio in the morning or relaxing after dinner.I guess that if this was left to their own discretion, there would be trouble with people who listen to loud music forever.[About the site]I thought it would be difficult to find a place since all of the sites are free, but when I entered around lunch time, I felt like I had a lot of choice. Also, although it is a free site, I was impressed by how each site is divided into well-planned sections (← This is important) and how privacy is skillfully maintained with surrounding trees and steps. (There is quite a difference in size). The ground at the riverside site I set up was quite hard, and even if I tried to insert the pegs with just my hands, it would be difficult to penetrate. It will be difficult to set up unless you have forged pegs like Soliste and a sturdy peg handle.[About blood-sucking insects]I didn't see any mosquitoes, but there were horseflies and blackflies. You want to expose your skin to the fresh air, but if you're allergic to insect bites like me, avoid exposing your skin as much as possible. Be especially careful below the knees. Furthermore, perhaps because of the coniferous forest, I did not see any insects that I would want to catch, such as beetles, stag beetles, and butterflies.[About temperature (August)]It's midsummer, so the temperature is a concern, but during the daytime, when it's sunny, it usually exceeds 30 degrees Celsius. It is difficult to spend time normally from around 11 o'clock in a sunny place. However, 70-80% of the site is a forested site surrounded by tall coniferous trees, so you can choose the right location. The temperature drops to around 20℃ in the morning and evening, but it doesn't feel cold (in a comfortable range) because of the humidity.[About purchasing ingredients]Since there is no large supermarket nearby, I drove over 20km one way to get to Shiratori Barrow. (This level is normal)Overall, it was a great campsite, as everyone said. However, since I couldn't use the audio equipment, I wanted to give it a 4.5, but since there is no 0.5 pitch, I gave it a 4.It's a difficult place to get to if you're coming from the Kanto region (I didn't see any Kanto license plates around), but I'd like to go there again!
