It was my first time visiting. Cottage use.It was managed by a friendly couple who lived up to their reputation. The cottage is well maintained and has everything you need including a refrigerator, pots of all sizes, frying pans, sukiyaki pots, rice cookers, microwaves, toasters, kettles, tableware, disposable chopsticks, detergent, sponges, etc.You can also have a barbecue and bonfire next to the cottage. There is also room to put up a tarp. The rooms are barrier-free, pets are allowed, and the best value for money. Wi-Fi is also available.Even at the end of July, it was cold at night and I turned on the heating.During the day it's about 20 degrees and very comfortable. There's no TV and there's nothing around.I was able to just relax and enjoy the bath.Nigorikawa Onsen is also nearby, and there are several places where you can take a day trip bath.Don't forget to bring food, toothbrushes, towels, and toiletries.

It was my first time camping at a cottage!I was nervous so I asked a lot of questions over the phone beforehand, but he was very kind and thorough.I didn't understand anything on the day of the event, so I'm grateful for all the help and guidance I received. The rooms were surprisingly clean and spacious, and the lodging costs were very cheap, to the point that I don't think I'll ever find a better campsite or cottage than this!Thank you very much for your help!Next time, I would love to go out with my dog!

I used the cottage and it was very well maintained and wonderful ♪♪♪It would be easier to pitch a tarp if there was a little more space next to the cottage❗️It's good that the altitude is high, but it's a little far from Takayama city! ️

I'm always impressed. However, the temperature has been high this summer. Global warming is rapidly approaching. The smell of the forest had diminished a little.I used it for 3 nights and 4 days from August 11, 2023. It's a great campsite no matter when you come. For those who are planning to use it, we recommend going to the observation deck at night. Last year, I was able to see a beautiful, beautiful moon on a full moon day, and this year, although I couldn't see the moon, I enjoyed the Milky Way and the sky full of stars that seemed to be falling. You can take a shortcut from near the campsite toilet to the reception or lodge, or you can walk along the same path as your car. Please bring a headlamp. Avoid wearing sandals to avoid injury.I've been looking for an additional place to shop for many years, and it seems like Takamiya Shoten in Kaida Kogen is the closest. You can replenish food, alcohol, ice, etc. According to Google Maps, it is 29 minutes (22.4km).

It's deep in the mountains, but it's at a certain altitude, so it's cool. It's cold in the mornings and evenings.Long sleeves and a jacket are required. We stayed in a cottage, and first of all, it was spacious. Anyway, I have everything I need for everyday life. It's extremely clean. There's nothing nearby to go shopping, so I have to take some time to go shopping.I want to go again.

Stayed in early August. The cottage is very clean and I have nothing to complain about. The futons are clean and lined with clean sheets, the plumbing is immaculate, everything from shampoo, body soap, dish detergent, tableware and disposable chopsticks is provided, and the Wi-Fi is fast. The temperature dropped to 13 degrees in the morning, and it was 20 degrees inside the cottage, so I was able to sleep warmly in my long-sleeved pajamas and a blanket. The staff were very responsive and full of kindness.

It was a very good campsite. There were no people around, so I was able to enjoy it very quietly, almost completely solo.

I think the 1850m altitude is a special campsite. The temperature is 11 degrees Celsius lower than the temperature below, the air is clear, and the kitchen is overflowing with clear cold water. The site is approximately 2.5m square with slatted roofs and is well leveled overall, but it is narrow so it may be difficult to accommodate a large tent. 10 minutes by car to Gero Municipal Nigorikawa Open-air Bath. The problem is the toilet. Although it was kept clean, I was reluctant to use the Japanese-style toilet (although there is a bio-toilet for children). Also, the only supermarkets are in Takayama City or Kiso Town, so you need to be fully prepared. If only the toilets were Western-style, this is a campground I would definitely want to visit again.
