There’s no convenience store nearby, which is a bit inconvenient, and the choices of restaurants in the area are very limited. I was here on a rainy day, and there was no parking spot available in front of the hotel, so I had to park at the 道の駅, which was really inconvenient in the rain. Overall, not a great experience due to the lack of nearby amenities. The hotel itself is a standard Fairfield and brand new. The staff are helpful and friendly.

I stayed during the extremely hot season.Just like everyone's opinions, I was very satisfied with the staff's response and facilities!I was exhausted from the energy-saving Japanese facilities, but when I arrived, the room was moderately cooled, and I felt that this was hospitality even in the extreme heat!I also really appreciated having ice in the kitchen area. It was very helpful to be able to fill my thermos with ice and keep my drinks chilled while driving.Currently, there is no convenience store near the facility, but as others have recommended, there is a store next to the front desk, so it's worth using! Enjoying this inconvenience (sorry!) is the real thrill of a road trip☺️

As others have written, it is located in an area that is beautiful, quiet, and has clean air, so I don't think I would have visited this place if it wasn't for the Marriott.It doesn't seem like there are any special scenery or special activities, butPersonally, it was a very comfortable place.Above all, the front desk staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome, making it a place I would like to visit again someday.I was also very grateful that they told me about recommended restaurants nearby when I checked in.Please also refer to the comments of others.

I liked the place, but unfortunately something happened and I gave it this rating. I think the service is better than before.We have a variety of customers, but we ask for equal service.I think it's good to have a good deal.

It is in a good location near the Shogawa cherry blossoms, Soba Kaido Road, Hirugano Plateau, and the mountains just a short walk away. Convenience stores are far away, so advance purchase is recommended.[How to enjoy it] There is a promenade from Shogawa no Sato to the Forest of Encounters. There are ups and downs in the mountains, so wear sturdy shoes.After walking around the area, it would be a good idea to eat some soba noodles and soak in the natural hot spring next to the hotel. If you want to stretch your legs, you can walk long distances to the castle ruins, Shogawa cherry blossoms, and Miboro Dam.[Shop] Frozen food, bread, instant noodles, alcohol, and snacks are available. Shops in the area close early at night, so you need to be careful and plan accordingly. There is a drink vending machine. See photos for items included.[Room] A common floor plan in Fairfield. Security box, mini fridge, loungewear. Amenities are minimal, so bring your own lotion etc.[Parking] There are about 15 spaces in front of the hotel, so if it is full, please park at the roadside station parking lot.[Others] You can enter the natural hot spring next door at a discounted price. Once you use it, you can get a ticket to enter the bath facility for free the next morning. It's a hot spring that leaves your skin smooth and beautiful. No sauna.Welcome coffee available.Coin laundry available.thank you very much.

Immediately after getting off at Shokawa IC, there is a roadside station and hot springs across the road, simple and clean rooms, and hotel staff with excellent service, making it the perfect place to spend a relaxing time.There just aren't any shops.Convenience stores are quite far away, and there are limited places to eat and drink. The roadside station and hot spring next door are closed on Thursdays.The hotel sells some drinks and snacks, but we recommend bringing your own.It was a quiet hotel where you could enjoy nature to the fullest.

Fairfield is close to the IC (entrance) and has easy access.This is Marriott's 67th inn this year.The roadside station with a hot spring and restaurant is next door, but you need to be careful about crossing the wide road.As always, the room was quiet and full of nature, which was impressive since it was the last accommodation on this trip.

The countryside view from the front is amazing ✨What's more, the staff were very personable and kind.If you're going to Shirakawa-go, don't go there, but be sure to go to "Toyamaya" on the way.You'll understand why if you go to Shirakawa-go after going to Toyamaya~ LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL~

It is located on the right hand side of the National Route 158 intersection after getting off at the Shokawa Interchange on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway.Turn left at this intersection and you will arrive at Michi-no-Eki Sakura no Sato Shokawa. This roadside station has the recommended Hidashogawa Onsen Oka no Yu.

Highly recommended. Excellent service, beds, room, and well located equidistantly between Takayama, Gifu and Shirakawa, hence the name. Will return and stay back here again in the near term.

You can receive stable Fairfield service. The staff's smiles and homely service are the best. There aren't many restaurants nearby, so it's a little difficult to find dinner.

Basically a hotel for overnight stays only. There is a roadside station nearby and a hot spring facility attached to it. It's very convenient because you can eat well, buy souvenirs, and soak in hot springs.It's in a lonely place, but on the other hand, it's a place where you can escape from the hustle and bustle and relax. There is a rice field right outside the window, and the sounds of frogs croaking are surprisingly soothing. A hotel where you can feel nature in a comfortable and stylish room. As others have said, I probably wouldn't have stayed here if it wasn't for the Marriott, so I was convinced that it was built as a roadside station project.

This hotel is an oddity in Japan. Located in the small village, with its back to the rice fields. They list the location as Takayama, but that's about 40 min drive.Rental car is a must, but once you have it, the hotel is outstanding. New, clean, quiet facility, with largest rooms of any hotels we stayed in Japan. Great service, making sure to help you find food around, which is a challenge. Everything closes very early in rural Japan, so you better have your dinner lined up before 5!There is no restaurant at the hotel, but we ate at Kisami, a small local joint located in a house less than 10 min walk away. At night look for a flashing yellow light, in this part of Japan it indicates that the establishment is open. Great local food, very accomodating owners. Be there when they open at 5pm!We went to several great hikes in the area so the location really worked for us.

As soon as you come down from the Shokawa Interchange, it will be on your right.There is a building and a roadside station is on the left.Just turn right at the intersection in front of the interchange.Waiting at a traffic light because the entrance is right next to the entrance.If there are two or three oncoming vehicles in a row,I can't get in unless the car starts moving...It's the neck.As soon as you park your car, the staff willPlease come outside to greet me,Check-in was also smooth.Shops and shops other than roadside stations are the shortest.Mori Shoten is 5 minutes down the road (*However, there is almost no food,You can use PayPay for the paper you receive at the hotel.Yes, but only by cash or credit card)Daily Yamazaki 15 minutes away from Mori ShotenIt was nice to have an interesting assortment of products, but as expectedIf you think it's a 30 minute round trip, buy it before you leave.I think that is the most recommended.I didn't stop at the roadside station this time.The front desk says there are hot springs and various restaurants.As you explained, it is quite fulfilling.It looks like a high road station.No matter where you stay in Fairfield itselfThere is not much difference in the facilities and room design.The direction is not towards the parking lot or roadside station, but towards the rice field.Then, the water surface and nature spread out outside the window, and the feelingIt's good, so if you request it before assigning it,I think it's good (my house was on the parking lot side)

For the price we paid, it is really value for money!All the furnitures are still brand new!When we open our room window, a row of sakura trees lining up along the river Bank! It was really a pleasant surprise! By now should be full bloom.We were there early April 2024
