A ryokan where you can take a day trip to Bato Onsen. The appearance is Showa without being retro, and the entrance is a lively space with a mix of Showa retro and manga. This time I'm using the bath for a day trip, so I'm posting about the bath instead of staying overnight. The husband is a simple and business-oriented person. The bathroom has a Showa-era feel with a rock towering in the middle of the bathtub and a bubble on the window side. I almost slipped on the mat from the changing room to the bathroom lolWith windows on two sides, you can take a bath in Bato Onsen's skin-beautifying hot water while looking out at the spectacular view of the setting sun. The water temperature is lukewarm. It was the most spectacular view I've ever had...🙏It's a memorable bath.*Since it was deserted, I took a photo, but word of mouth confirmed that posting on social media was prohibited. Is it OK to use Google Maps with photos at the reception without any special instructions? I'm going to post this, but if I get any warning, I'll delete it immediately.

This time I will use it for business. My impressions may be divided into two parts,THE perfect inn for those who want to experience the Showa era.I also feel a little like what I saw in the photos of the buildings etc...However, after checking in, I was led to a room at the end of an old hallway, and when I entered the room, it was a clean tatami room with a window overlooking the Naka River from a hill. The toilet is also clean with no smells and there are no problems at all.I immediately went to the indoor bath to soak in the hot spring ♨️, and found that the changing room and bathtub were thoroughly cleaned. The bathroom is dimly lit, but it has a nice atmosphere. The only hot spring water was lukewarm, so I think it could have been a little hotter. If you stay in the bath for a long time, it might be just right. It's a ryokan where taking pictures of the inside of the hotel and the food is prohibited, but apparently the scenery is nice lol. It's such a waste of time. When I returned to my room and relaxed, there was a Yogibo in the room, which was the most relaxing experience I had. This time, I had a plan that included dinner, but it was a satisfying meal with pork shabu, sweetfish dishes, and horse sashimi that I couldn't finish on my own.It gets pretty cold this time of year, but the heating in the room was warmer than my home, with an air conditioner, stove, and even a hot water bottle in the futon, so I was able to stay warmer than at home. For me, it was a satisfying work trip, including the hot springs, food, and room. It's a shame that I can't post a photo, but someone else has posted it so please take a look.I will also give you the only possible view.

Thank you for taking care of me on a day trip. The hot spring is Bato Onsen ♨️ The pH is high and it feels slimy. However, it is an old building and the cleaning is not thorough, so it may be difficult for those who like cleanliness. There is only one indoor bath, so you will sweat a little. It might be good if it's just that.

If the weather is good, you can see the sunset beautifully. Dinner is perfect for those who eat less😊The slimy feeling in the bath is more noticeable in the morning than at night. retro innWe were the only ones staying and had a private bath - the bestIt's also an inn where you'll want to stay the night. The pillow is hard with buckwheat hulls. My head hurts though
