Stayed on August 21, 2024 while trekking. Although it was extremely hot in the lower part of the world, we had a very cool time typical of Yumoto Onsen. Honoka na Yado Jurin stands out among the inns in Yumoto Onsen, with a strong scent of sulfur from the hot springs, which, combined with the mountain breeze structure, doubles the joy of ``I've come to a hot spring.''

The hot spring water is good. The room was on the second floor of a Western-style room, but the balcony and window bars didn't seem to have been cleaned.I felt the same way about the bathroom.I spent the early morning in the lobby. At that time, I passed several employees many times, but I didn't say hello, which was a bit disappointing. The food was also average and I wasn't very impressed.

The stag beetles on the counter right after entering the museum looked like they were in a lot of pain. The inside of the case was empty, the jelly was of course broken, and there was a shallow layer of dry soil. When I observed them, I noticed that the males were courting the females, but with this type of breeding method, they are not even able to lay eggs. There was no jelly and the individuals were crowded together, so there was constant fighting. Some of them are in a state of suspended animation.I think it's a good thing to display them for customers, but I feel really bad for the Japanese stag beetles if they are kept like this.I apologize for the review having nothing to do with the service, but I would like to see this improved.

Lately, I have heard reports of bears being sighted nearby, but on the contrary, I have been able to see a family of deer up close in front of the hotel and in the courtyard. Only the manager responded with a professional attitude.
