Spent 3 nights of our 2 week trip here and loved the quiet, beautiful setting. Dinner is cooked nightly and different each time! We experienced traditional Nikko dishes with staff explaining history/how to eat/how it’s prepared. Loved this experience.

Seriously I cannot recommend this local hotel anymore!First, staff are very nice and speaks fluent English.Second, rooms are clean and spacious (which is rare in Tokyo), bed are soft and comfortable, toilet are very clean. we enjoyed the view overlooking the lake.Third and the most important, the food are insanely good! We spent two nights here and the owner made us totally different menu from appetiser to dessert!!! Every item is home made! I don’t think even Ritz Carlton nearby could provide such heartwarming cuisine. Breakfast buffet offers both Japanese and western style!Seriously I could not recommend this place anymore!

I totally recommend it. I stayed for 2 nights with my family, and the room was spacious and had a nice view of the lake. I was also grateful to the staff for always responding kindly. We made special memories by renting yukatas for free until the end of September. I recommend it because the location is great and the food is so delicious.

The building felt old, but the room had been renovated and was very clean. The location right in front of Lake Chuzenji was also great. It's a 10 minute walk to Kegon Falls, so I was able to park in the parking lot and go there. There was a terrace, so I was able to relax and enjoy the view before breakfast. It was also nice that the TV was big and I could watch a variety of channels. The unit bath was also spacious and nice. All dinners were delicious.Personally, I found the grilled Kirifuri Kogen pork marinated in barley miso, Kenchin udon, and konnyaku mochi particularly delicious.Above all, the staff was very considerate and I was able to spend a comfortable time there.thank you very much.

An excellent choice in Lake Chuzenji. This is not a luxury hotel per se, but a nice, cozy family-run inn with newly refurbished rooms and very nice international staff who were so kind and warm. We had booked the Deluxe Twin Room with lake view and we loved the ample space. With the great price paid on booking.com with half board, this stay was of amazing value with good food made by the chef/owner. Sound proofing was good, onsen was small but the waters were great!
